Washing Machine Meant For Dogs

We’re not sure if this is a godsend or cruelty in action. Folks in Poitiers, France, now have a washing machine for canines. Costing more than $30,000, the appliance washes and dries your dog in about 4 minutes, while the operator stands safely dry outside the apparatus. During its demo, the machine’s owner sat in with the pup to prove it was safe. We know that our dog will run at the sound of running water in the tub, so we can imagine what effect this might have on other furry friends. The very least the gadget should do is electronically toss in some kibble between cycles.

Hanil has learned to appreciate the value of Hello Kitty. After they retained a licensed contract from Sanrio, they began designing a whole range of gadgets that includes a humidifier, mixer, fan, toaster, ice crusher, blender, and a coffee pot, just to name a few. The only thing more unsettling than seeing a kitchen full of Hello Kitty appliances is the fact that there are those who want them. Hamil reports that they plan to expand their line in the future because sales are purrfectly fine.

Roomba 500 Series Now Available

Roomba has reinvented itself. After almost 2 million of the vacuuming bots have been sold, iRobot decided to upgrade after listening to owners’ suggestions. The robots can now get out of more jams, slow down when they detect a wall or obstacle, and have one-button activation. They also have the capability of traveling on thicker carpets, avoiding stairs, transitioning easily between floor surfaces and, most importantly, have a built-in tutorial.
The new Roomba 500 series will be shipping in the U.S. in September at prices of $249.99 to $399.99 and for those budget-minded folks, the basic 400 model is available for only $119.99.
