Transformers Crew Fires Back at Classless Megan Fox

UPDATE: Transformers production assistant defends Megan Fox in a new letter.
Megan Fox might not think highly of Michael Bay, but there are several who don’t exactly care for her either.
Earlier this month, the Transformers actress stirred up controversy when comments she made about Bay spread across the internet. In an interview with Wonderland magazine, Fox compared the director to Napoleon and said the “awkward” hit maker was “a nightmare to work for.”
Now other (anonymous) crew members are speaking out about the “unbearable” hours spent watching “Ms. Sourpants” trying to act on set. You can read a scathing letter (which was once posted on Michael’s own website) in full after the jump. A personal note from Bay will also follow.

Motorola introduces CLIQ Android smartphone, MOTOBLUR

Motorola has unveiled their smartphone strategy going forward, and it all begins with the Motorola CLIQ, The CLIQ is an Android-powered smartphone that will be available on T-Mobile later this fall. The CLIQ packs in 3G, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera, GPS, and a tie-in to social networking contacts that they’ve named MOTOBLUR.
MOTOBLUR is interesting. The CLIQ logs in to your various social networks and points of communication - things like email, text messages, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Picasa, Photobucket, RSS, and more. It takes all the activity in all these services, and shows you content in a single feed on the main screen, and you can respond to any of these by tapping on them.
On the hardware side, the Motorola CLIQ has a 320x480 3.1-inch display, along with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that also has a D-pad, so you know you can even get your gaming on with this phone. The 5 megapixel camera has autofocus, and records video at 24 and 30 frames per second. There’s also a headphone jack, GPS, and 3G, as previously mentioned. As far as wireless goes, the CLIQ packs in Wi-Fi, alongside Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. You’ll be able to get your hands on a Motorola CLIQ later this fall.

iPod nano 5G: Shoots video, FM tuner with Live Pause, Pedometer (with videos!)

The iPod nano got a very welcome upgrade today, with Apple integrating a camera into the device, making it the first (and only - sorry iPod touch) iPod with a built-in camera. On the lower left on back of the iPod nano sits the camera, along with speaker and microphone. The iPod nano only records video, so it doesn’t take still images, and those videos are recorded at 640x480 in H.264 up to 30fps with AAC audio. There are also 15 video effects you can apply, like Black and White, Film Grain, Thermal, X-Ray, and more.
Also making the iPod nano unique is the addition of an FM tuner, again, a first for the iPod line. Apple has even included a feature they call Live Pause, which lets you pause radio, and continue listening later. It holds a buffer of up to 15 minutes. You’ll also find a pedometer in the new nano, which works together with the built-in Nike+ integration, and a new, larger 2.2-inch screen - up from 2-inch on the previous model. The fifth generation iPod nano is available now at $149 for the 8GB model, and $179 for the 16GB version, and they come in nine new colors.

“evan rachel wood and alexander skarsgard might be effing. my friend is working on the set of ‘straw dogs,’ a movie starring kate bosworth and askars in shreveport, louisiana. apparently, evan rachel whore flew in friday to be with him and they have been hooking up since they met on the true blood set. he was overheard talking about hanging out with her and actually being excited about that.”

Meet Stan Lee at Pittsburgh Comicon

Comic book god Stan Lee is joining forces with Hero Initiative, agreeing to meet and greet six winners at the Pittsburgh Comicon.
In order to nab one of the coveted six slots, you’ve got to sharpen your eBay skills and bid on them at the Hero Initiative‘s account. Currently at $157 a pop, the 2 days that you have left will most likely see an exponential increase in price; however, what does money matter when you get to meet Stan Lee?
If you get past that hurdle, the event will take place on Saturday, September 12; once there, you will be escorted to the VIP room by personnel and receive pictures with Stan and two autographs on items of your choice, on top of gracing his presence.
All proceeds of the auction benefit Hero Initiative, a non-profit dedicated to aiding comic book creators in financial and medical support. In other words, you’ll be doing charity while meeting The Man!

This will be the second time Westwood picked Anderson to promote her line—last season, the Playboy cover girl walked the Milan and London catwalks on top of fronting the Spring/Season campaign.

HBO to Sell Tru Blood Drink

How do you like your synthetic blood? At a nice 98.6 degrees—or chilled on ice? Later this month, HBO will be shipping out bottles of Tru Blood, a soda version of the drink consumed by vampires on True Blood.
While the fake stuff on the program is created by Japanese inventors, the at-home version actually consists of blood…blood orange flavoring, that is. According to the product’s description, the beverage is “slightly tart, lightly sweet and subtly carbonated.” Several recipe suggestions are also provided including “The Fangbanger” and “Death on the Beach.”
The 14 oz. bottles can be pre-ordered before the September 28 availability date. Four-packs will be sold for $16 each. (That does not include shipping charges.)

iPhone MMS officially launches September 25, misses “late summer” target

It’s official, MMS is coming to the iPhone 3G and 3GS on September 25th, according to AT&T. For those keeping track, that pushes the promise of “late summer” back to “early fall” since technically, summer ends on September 22nd. On the surface, it seems like not such a big deal, but it is just another straw that is being added to the camel’s back as it pertains to AT&T. Many suspected that MMS would go live on September 9th, alongside the Apple iPod event scheduled for that day. Hey, better late than never, right?

Dead Space Extraction Interview and Footage

The Dead Space franchise is headed to the Nintendo Wii with Dead Space Extraction. earlier today, Visceral Studio announced that the game, which launches in the US on September 29, has gone gold. They’ve released a boss trailer, along with interview snippets with the developers of the game, detailing what we should expect from the Wii version of Dead Space. Hit the video for the full scoop, but here’s a hint: just because this is a Wii title, don’t expect the horror elements to be any less impressive than they were in the original. We’re excited.

Are there two people better equipped to discuss a Mike Judge film than Beavis and Butthead?
In this clip, the animated characters - best known from Judge’s classic MTV series - give us a brief synopsis of what to expect from the new film Extract.
“In this movie, you have a chick with big boobs, a dude who gets his nuts knocked off and then a dude who gets paid to have sex. Oh yeah - and then there’s a bunch of bottles of extract too,” Butthead explains.
