BMW has announced a new four-door to its lineup in the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. What you have here is what amounts to a 3 series BMW that has a tailgate rather than a proper trunk. The 4 Series Gran Coup is also half an inch longer and wider than the 3 series, and also and inch-and-a-half lower to the ground. Prospective buyers in the US can choose between the 428i GC model, which has a 2-liter 240hp turbo engine that can go from 0-to-60 in 5.7 seconds, or the 435i GC with a 300hp 3-liter inline-six that goes from 0-to-60 in 4.9 seconds. Pricing starts at $41,225.

During CES, WWE announced the ambitious WWE Network project, a service that will see live 24/7 programming paired with a vast on-demand content library for $9.99 in what's considered a first-of-its-kind over-the-top service. WWE Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer, Michelle Wilson, announced the vast number of hardware partners and devices that will be able to access the Network when it launches on February 24th, and they included iOS devices, Android devices, Roku, Kindle Fire tablets, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4. Later this summer Xbox One and Smart TV platforms get added to the list.
This left many wondering if the Apple TV would support the new venture. As I had noted previously here, as well as in an audio hotline on PWInsider, if you own an iOS device or Mac, you'll be able to AirPlay WWE Network content directly to the Apple TV. This is how the UFC Fight Pass supports Apple's set-top box. However, it seems that the WWE Network will, in fact, get a dedicated Apple TV channel.
Here's an amusing look at what the Spike Jonze movie Her might look like if the genders of the main characters were reversed. When a woman falls in love with her operating system, she thinks she's found the man of her dreams. But it turns out "Him' is no "Her."
“Her” is a touching love story that follows the budding romance between a high-waisted-jeans-loving hipster played by Joaquin Phoenix and a silky-voiced operating system voiced by Scarlett Johansson (think Siri, except actually useful). “Him,” on the other hand, proves that you should never, ever trust a charming man with a British accent, because he will probably hurt you, but only after sleeping with you and telling you that you’re beautiful.

LEGO has announced the very first set in The Simpsons theme, and it looks fantastic. The Simpsons House 71006 is a replica of the home that the family has lived in for over 20 years, complete with six Simpsons LEGO Minifigs (Bart, Homer, Lisa, Marge, Maggie, and neighbor Ned Flanders) and the pink family car. You won't have to wait too long to get your hands on this set, either, as it goes on sale in about 3 weeks time on February 1 for $199. At the same time, LEGO will sell individual Simpsons minifigs to add to your collection for $4 each. Check out a couple more images of the set, along with a video, after the jump.
I've got a lot of love for Mophie and its line of Juice Pack and Powerstation charging devices for smartphones, tablets, and pretty much anything that charges over USB. I've owned them since the original was released for the iPhone 3G way back when. Now, the company is looking to expand into new territory with the Mophie Space Pack. The Space Pack is a battery case for the iPhone that also incorporates built-in storage, allowing users of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s expand the overall storage capacity of their devices. Available soon in 16GB and 32GB variants, users will be able to store any type of file on the Space Pack, including iTunes content, photos, and videos, all managed through the Mophie Space app. The 16GB model will sell for $149, while the 32GB version will be $179. Both are available for pre-order today, and begin shipping on March 14, 2014.

2013 is set to come to a close in just a few hours, and we are just in time with our annual top 10 list of the most-watched Gear Live video episodes. Over the past year, as expected, there was a bunch of Apple gear that made the list, while the Monster Tuxedo DNA headphones proved popular as well. Other products that made the list include Sonos Playbar, Microsoft's white Xbox One, and a few others.
We've come to the end of another year, and as we wave goodbye to 2013, we figured it was only fitting that we share the most popular stories published on Gear Live this year, as determined by our readers (we've also got the top ten most read stories regardless of publish date, as well as the ten most popular Gear Live videos of 2013!) These are the ten stories that were read the most, and when you consider that fact, it's pretty surprising to see what made the list. Let's kick it off with our most read story of the year:
OS X 10.9 Mavericks Developer Preview 3 now available:
Anticipation for Apple's newest desktop operating system, OS X 10.9 Mavericks, trumped all other news here on Gear Live in 2013!
