Rally car crash video

The world of rally racing isn’t one for the faint of heart. Hitting bends at break-neck speeds is sketchy enough on pavement, but add gravel and snow to that mix and you’ve got disaster waiting to happen. Here's an example. The drivers name is Crazy Leo (with a name like that you can expect something ridiculous to happen.) In this video, Leo hits a pole at full-throttle, and somehow still places second in this race. Check it out.

ferrari polished bliss

If you thought the hour or two job that you've spent detailing your car was up to snuff, your car-washing techniques are about to be proven frivolous, as it's nothing compared to the Polished Bliss 144-hour detail spent on a Ferrari. These guys, based out of UK, are true masters of the art. Seriously--if car washing was ever to be considered an art, this would be why. Since before-and-after pictures wouldn’t do the detail justice, a six-minute video was put together, which you can check out below.

Now we’re not fans of speed traps, nor do we like getting trolled by unmanned squad cars, but when and if the time comes, we cut our losses and take the ticket. The thing is, not everyone will have the same reaction.

Recently, a man down in the Santa Fe area wasn’t too happy about the empty vehicle keeping tabs on him. Dressed as Mr. Magoo (we aren’t sure if this is intentional or not,) he decided to take his revenge out on the unmanned vehicle by shooting five rounds into it. Luckily, the Redflex-operated squad car didn’t suffer much damage, nor did the onboard camera! Check out the video above as Mr. Magoo goes on a rampage.

Farewell Lada 2107

Today we say farewell to the Lada 2107. Ff you’re not familiar with the Lada, no worries, consider yourself graced.

The Lada 2107 has been running around the streets of the former Soviet Union since the 1970s. The body style hasn’t changed much since the Lada’s origins of being a Fiat. But alas, “It's time to say goodbye,” says Igor Burenkov of AvtoVAZ. Lada is expecting demand for newer-body-styled cars from consumers. On that note, we say farewell; or better yet, До свидания, друг.

We realize that there ar eplenty of videos on YouTube that leave you asking “How stupid do you have to be?” This applies to the video above, which comes from a 25-year-old Canadian. This gentleman has had his license suspended, and has an unhealthy need for speed.

The video shows him racing a Yamaha R1 down the Trans-Canadian Highway at a staggering speed of 185 miles per hour. On top of his idiocy, he also has 25 traffic infractions to his name, which leaves police (and the rest of us) asking why he isn’t behind bars.

If you need a quick adrenaline rush to get through your day, don't do this. Instead, we suggest two cups of coffee and a Red Bull. Then, hit play on the video and set it to full screen, and blast your speakers to get a good sensation of how it might feel flying down the Canadian Highway.

Infiniti's game changing concept

The Infiniti LE made its debut at the New York Auto Show this year. Like many concepts, the design, was brilliantly stunning. Luckily, Infiniti plans on staying true to its concept design and introducing a new way of building an EV.

While most EVs are an afterthought, Infiniti went head on with its LE concept. The EV isn’t a rebadged G-series (although it’s about the same size,) instead, it's an original Infinity design--an Infiniti first. All the luxury, sportiness, and a sexy design that you see now, is what you’ll get later. According to Infiniti, the LE Concept sports a 24kWh lithium-ion battery located under the passenger compartment floor, which is the same battery used by the Nissan Leaf. As for tech features, expect Infiniti Connection, which includes Infiniti's Personal Assistant 24-hour concierge service, navigation, and POI search along with a wireless charging system.

Vietnamese police bus driver

Normally, people in the States have respect for authority and listen to them for the most part. But apparently in Asia, that is optional.

When Vietnamese traffic lieutenant Nguyen Manh Phan attempted to pull over a bus driver heading the wrong way down the street, the driver decided to flee instead of pulling over.

So what’s a foot officer left to do? Well, he jumped onto the front of the bus, of course. The officer positioned himself and held on for dear life as the driver continued on his route. The bus eventually pulled over, but not before the incident was caught on tape. Check out the video for yourself.

BMW owners cheaters

A recent, we’re sure very technical, study conducted by an online dated service from the UK has found that BMW owners like most likely to cheat on their significant other.

NineMSN.com says there is an “intrinsic link between success and cheating.” BMW topped the list of followed by Audi and Mercedes-Benz a close third. Though we’re not too sure BMW would accept this award, but it’s one more bragging right they can add to the list!

This isn’t a novel idea either, a few years back Mercedes-Benz capitalized on the concept while promoting its AWD system. Check out the video after the jump!

If you’re planning on seeing Marvel’s next blockbuster hit, The Avengers, get ready to see some movie magic. No, we’re not talking about the fight scenes and endless CGI effects, we’re talking about the cars featured in the movie—the Acura NSX to be exact.

Like any lead-footed gear-head, we were stoked that Acura was planning on bring the car back into production. The NSX is due to arrive somewhere around 2015, but if you’ve looked at any calendar lately, it reads 2012. So how could Marvel get its hands on a car that’s not out yet, or no where near production ready? We’ll, let’s just say it took some work and creativity. Check out the video to see how it all came to be.

Ford Evos to be the next Mustang

There are rumors floating around that Ford maybe ditching its retro-designed Mustang in favor of a modern look. Wall Street Journal’s Matt Ramsey is a proponent of this theory.

In his article, he suggests that Ford is doing so due to decline in retro-looking car sales. He also suggests Volkswagen suffered the same fate with its New Beetle, which also saw a decline in sales. However, Autoblog brings up two valid counterarguments. One is the Mustang did not have competition for years, and now competes against Dodge. Secondly, both manufacturers where hit by the recession, thus sales suffered.

Both arguments hold true. Ford has announced that it's going to take the Mustang global. Though the retro-looking Mustangs are popular here in the States, they may not be everyone’s cup of tea in Europe. They’re not big on large, bulky vehicles roaming the streets. We don’t blame them either, since most of their city streets aren’t wide enough for pedestrians to walk on.

The speculated predecessor for the retro-Mustang would be the Evos. The Evos is geared with Generation Y in mind. It also fits well with Ford’s overlapping theme set by the Fusion or the Aston Martin look, as we like to call it. Though we’re not opposed the redesign, we’d be sad to see the retro-bodied Mustang go to pasture.
