Image EarphonesKlipsch says that they now have the planet’s smallest and most lightweight earbuds for iPhones, iPods, or any device with a head phone jack. Their Image earphones weigh only about 10g and are smaller than an average human’s fingernail. The phones come with a set of silicon Contour Ear Gels which the company claim are anatomically designed to fit the human ear canal and are not only comfortable, but provide an excellent seal for isolating sound. Chute

Smartphones are expensive but more desirable all the time, so why not get one that is also eco-friendly? The Chute, created by Industrial Designer Michael Laut, works like any other phone but is made of bamboo, which is not only biodegradable, but lighter and stronger than plastic. It probably won’t dent or crack if you drop it and if a friendly panda comes strolling by and looks hungry, perhaps he/she would appreciate the green gift. Contact Michael Laut for price and availability.

iPhone Flash pluginEDIT: The Skyfire browser for iPhone allows you to view Flash video directly on your iPhone.

EDIT: Here are the details on Apple and Adobe collaborating on an iPhone Flash player.

EDIT: Here is an update on the whole Flash on iPhone situation.

We’ve been waiting for Flash support to hit the ever since…well…it launched. We’ve had to make do without Flash for almost eight months, and YouTube even had to convert a bunch of their catalog to H.264 in order for the service to be enjoyed on the iPhone. Well, we’ve just got word from a reliable source that Flash support is on its way to the iPhone, and it should be coming very, very soon. Speculating a bit further on our own, we are guessing that it would be pretty convenient for Flash support to be introduced alongside the iPhone SDK, wouldn’t you say? Now, we know that there isn’t much information here, but you also know how strong our sources are too - Flash on the iPhone is coming, just take our word for it, okay?

EDIT: We already have had a couple people ask about the supposed battery and CPU issues that were holding Flash back from being included on the iPhone in the first place. From what I am hearing, it was a complete fabrication. Flash has not yet made it to the iPhone solely due to business negotiations. As we said, it is now on its way!

ReadiusAnother reader has arrived to compete with the Kindle. The Dutch company Polymer Vision spun off from Philips and has been working for 2 years on its Readius which will hit stores sometime this year. The device is about the size of 2 credit cards, weighs about as much as a cell phone, and folds up when not in use. With its 5-inch display, you can read news, blogs, audio books, view podcasts, and catch up on your e-mail. The Readius can also make phone calls and connect online with cellphone networks, has a super-battery life, and should cost about the same as a high-end cell phone.
