Posted by Andrey Malskiy Categories: Corporate News, Transportation

Today we say farewell to the Lada 2107. Ff you’re not familiar with the Lada, no worries, consider yourself graced.
The Lada 2107 has been running around the streets of the former Soviet Union since the 1970s. The body style hasn’t changed much since the Lada’s origins of being a Fiat. But alas, “It's time to say goodbye,” says Igor Burenkov of AvtoVAZ. Lada is expecting demand for newer-body-styled cars from consumers. On that note, we say farewell; or better yet, До свидания, друг.

Infiniti’s electric LE concept, offers zero-emission luxury
Posted by Andrey Malskiy Categories: Corporate News, Rumors, Transportation

The Infiniti LE made its debut at the New York Auto Show this year. Like many concepts, the design, was brilliantly stunning. Luckily, Infiniti plans on staying true to its concept design and introducing a new way of building an EV.
While most EVs are an afterthought, Infiniti went head on with its LE concept. The EV isn’t a rebadged G-series (although it’s about the same size,) instead, it's an original Infinity design--an Infiniti first. All the luxury, sportiness, and a sexy design that you see now, is what you’ll get later. According to Infiniti, the LE Concept sports a 24kWh lithium-ion battery located under the passenger compartment floor, which is the same battery used by the Nissan Leaf. As for tech features, expect Infiniti Connection, which includes Infiniti's Personal Assistant 24-hour concierge service, navigation, and POI search along with a wireless charging system.

They've helped many people determine whether they should pick up a certain digital camera or smartphone, or if they should wait a few weeks due to an impending new model set to hit the scene (or a price drop that's right around the corner.) Today, the company launches a new product that aims to give you a bit of confidence in that you are getting the best price out there, period.
T-Mobile launches ‘No More Mr. Nice Girl’ brand campaign (video!)

This morning, T-Mobile released the full version of its new "No More Mr. Nice Girl" campaign, which sees its spokesmodel, Carly, ditching the magenta dresses the normally wears in exchange for a magenta and black leather jumpsuit. She then hops on a Ducati and drives off, which we guess signifies that the company is no longer playing games and is getting serious about competing. We don't really know. I mean, if that were true, then they'd stop referring to HSPA+ as 4G, but, that seems to be the cornerstone of the new campaign. Ah well. At least Carly looks cool. Peep the commercial spot for yourself after the jump.

Volkswagen announces its best quarter ever
Posted by Andrey Malskiy Categories: Corporate News, Transportation

Last time we checked, Europe was going through some pretty tough economical times. But that’s not stopping Volkswagen from reporting its best sales quarter in its history! In the first quarter of this year the company sold 1.36 million cars, with 536,600 cars alone in March.
However, much of VW's success isn’t because of Europe, even though they managed to gain 5% marketshare tgere. Volkswagen’s greatest markets come from Russia, China, South America, and America. Ever since the redesign of the Passat and Jetta, Volkswagen’s numbers have been climbing up the charts. You can read the full press release after the jump.

In the video above, you see Rob Schmitz guiding and educating us through the factory conditions.

Chrysler releases a Powermat-like system in Dodge Dart to charge devices wirelessly
Posted by Andrey Malskiy Categories: Corporate News, Handhelds, Transportation

Chrysler recently announced that it will be offering wireless in-vehicle charging stations for your mobile devices. For $200 bucks you can clear your car of messy wires that clutter it, while charging your smartphone. The forthcoming Dodge Dart will be the first of vehicles to feature the “Powermat-like” technology. The car is set to hit dealer lots this summer, and is offering a great alternative to the compact car market.
The power bin is integrated into the cars center consoles, measuring about 8-inches x 9-inches x 3-inches deep. The grid becomes activated when your device is dropped in and shuts off when your device is removed. However, there is a small catch to the system, like the Powermat, Chrysler’s system too calls for a special case to be used in conjunction with its power bin. The case is included with the power bin package.

Posted by Andrey Malskiy Categories: Corporate News, Transportation, Videos

It’s big, it’s loud, we’re pretty sure it spits out Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth as it rolls by—the long awaited, fifth generation, Dodge Viper.
Unlike most sensible automakers who are seen tuning down their cars, replacing motors for batteries and what not, Dodge decided it’d be a fitting time to have a proper V8 roam the streets once more. Yet, this wasn’t a simple redesign, but an overhaul of the Viper posters that hung on our walls as children.
So how do you welcome the new Viper? Through YouTube videos, of course! Follow the jump to watch them all.
