Description

Apparently, some iPod shuffle accessories can be used to protect more than just your Apple MP3 player. Case in point: the iSmoke shuffle. Big enough to hold three cigarettes perfectly around your neck, and cool enough to wear with your earbuds.

DescriptionThe PodGear ShuffleStation reminds me of the Altec Lansing inMotion iPod speakers. Basically, you sit the iPod shuffle on the based provided on the ShuffleStation, and the two stereo speakers play the music from the shuffle. Very simple. If plugged in, the ShuffleStation will also charge the iPod shuffle while it is docked. The unit also works with 4 AAA batteries, but will not charge the iPod when using this method.

Logic 3 PSP KeyboardGameSeek will be offering a keyboard attachment for the PSP that doubles as a screen protector. There’s not much information or even a feature list on the website, but by the picture you can see it’s a small fold-away keyboard. I don’t know if I would want to use my PSP as a word processor per se, but this attachment would be handy when surfing the web or jotting down some quick notes. Get your hands on one on May 27th for £19.99.

Sleeptracker Wake Up WatchYesterday, I posted news of the release of the Sleeptracker Watch over at I4U. Well, today I got a call from Lee Loree from Innovative Sleep Solutions (the guys behind the Sleeptracker) in response to an email I sent him. It turns out that the amount of orders they have gotten as a result of the press they have been receiving has them simply stunned. They weren’t expecting anything like the success that they are currently enjoying, and to that I simply say, congratulations. If you make a unique product that meets a need, people that hear about it are going to want it - it’s that simple. When it gets covered on sites like Gear Live, I4U, and Gizmodo you can expect that the early adopters are going to snatch them up as quickly as possible. The Sleeptracker Watch monitors your sleep state during the night, and wakes you in the morning during an interval of time that you set. The catch here is that it makes sure to wake you at the best time for your body, ensuring you wake up energized rather than while in the midst of a deep sleep cycle.

Secure Signature Systems is developing a pen that reads your biometrics to allow access to your sensitive information.  For those of you who manage to write your signature a little differently each time, there’s no need to worry.  it doesn’t go by the final image of your writing, but by the motions and angles of the pen.  Just when I was getting used to remembering all those passwords…

DescriptionIf you have someone in your life who is destroying your home due to being essentially stuck in front of the television, the Couch Potato Tormentor has arrived. Simply put, it is a device that interferes with the component of your choice by performing random actions on the said component. For example, it can simply turn off, mute, or change the channel on the television every so often. Or you can set it to change the audio setting on the receiver every then and again. This is all in the spirit of annoying the person who is trying to enjoy their favorite evening sitcom. Of course it’s just a gag, but I would love to set it up someone discrete and just watch the reaction it gets. However, I know when my components act up, it is no laughing matter. Full release after the jump.

EarLove Ear PlugOne thing many people neglect to take care of is their ears. I have seen so many people on the subway who listen to portable audio devices, and although I am a legitimate five or six feet away from them, I can hear everything that is coming out of their headphones. In the interest of creating something that would be both comfortable, and ultra-functional, the EarLove earplug is designed for those nights when you know you are going to be in a loud music environment. Whether that means a night out at the club where you might end up dancing near a speaker, or an outing to a rock concert, these earplugs are designed to both protect your ears and allow you to hear the music perfectly. They are available in a few colors, and are said to work better than old-school foam earplugs.
