Audio Technica iPod mini earbuds

Japan always gets the cool stuff, huh? Well, I guess that's true if you can consider earbuds that have a slight hint of color which match those of the Apple iPod mini line a cool item. Seriously, what is taking for long to someone to release something like this stateside? These babies are available in Japan from Audio Technica.

Treo 650 Vaja Case

Due out by next week, Innova Cases is ramping up to offer new Treo 650 owners their specialized brand of quality leather protection. I love the sexy angles they have on their site. These cases allow easy access to all commands, along with access to the headphone jack, camera, and sync ports. If you like to keep your gear scratch free, Vaja cases are among the best, but you do pay a hefty premium. These will retail for around $100.

T-Mobile Sidekick II $24.99 Hiptop 2 Review

Yes, you read that right. What is arguably the hottest phone currently available right now for all the hipsters out there can be had for just $24.99. The T-Mobile Sidekick II (a.k.a. HipTop 2) is a great device, combining a cell phone with internet browsing and an IM client. The negative? It only works with T-Mobile, so good luck finding reception. Some things are just too good to be true.

Rio Vaja Cases

Rio Vaja Case

Didn't get to mention it on the Rio Carbon review a while ago, but the carry case that comes packed with the unit itself is a real piece of crap. It's quite hard to slide the Carbon out of the case, and though it allows access to the power and scroll wheel, it completely covers the display. Enter Vaja and its wonderfully crafted cases, made specifically for the Carbon. Vaja makes some really classy leather-based cases for a variety of portables, and just seeing that I could access the D-pad and the screen makes me want to have one. Plus you can get them custom-embossed with whatever text you'd like. There is a downside, of course. Cases are about $55, and that's without tax, shipping, or embossing.

palmOne Universal Keyboard

Recently, palmOne unveiled three new accessories for the Fall. First up is their new cross-platform compatible Universal Wireless Keyboard which is designed to work with handhelds and smartphones from palmOne, Dell and HP. Hey, $70 isn't too much for what can essentially replace a laptop for your typing-on-the-go needs. Also new is a leather Treo 600 smartphone side-loading case; and a Bluetooth GPS bundle, which comes with a Zire 72 handheld from palmOne.
