Ads On The iPod Via Firmware?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Misc. Tech

DescriptionMan, this would totally suck. Imagine Apple releasing a firmware update for current iPods (with new iPods coming with the firmware by default) that made the gadget display ads on its screen at various times. Or better yet, 15-20 second audio ads between songs. Even shuffle owners aren’t safe! Luckily, this is just a gag. Let’s hope Big Steve doesn’t get any ideas.

Looking At Napster To Go

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Portable Audio / Video

Napster LogoYou know, I have been playing around with Napster To Go for about a day or so, and I must say it is growing on me. The interface could use a little work, but the fact that I can pull up and listen to just about any song at any time is the real draw (and, the point actually) of Napster To Go. You …

Pizza Ordering Built In to EverQuest II

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Video Games

DescriptionMan, if this is what they mean when they say that 2005 is the year of convergence, then I am all for it. Sony has built a command into EverQuest II that allows the gamer to order pizza in the midst of the game. While playing, one just simply needs to type “/pizza”, and an order form will pop up allowing you to put in …

Are These Nintendo Revolution Images?

Nintendo Revolution

Hard to tell, obviously, in this day and age. My guess is that it is a very clever mock up. I wouldn’t mind if it was though, just as long as it doesn’t end up being

purple

indigo. Does this remind anyone of the Sega Dreamcast? More images after the jump.

Go On A Rampage With Mario

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Internet, Video Games

Mario RampageI always thought simply jumping on an enemy’s head just couldn’t be enough to thwart their efforts - especially when my enemy is a walking dragon! Thanks to Mario Rampage, we can now rest easy knowing that Mario is able to take matters into his own hands the same way they do in the movies. My score? 3075 points, killing 91 enemies and collecting …

Is AllOfMP3 Going Down?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Internet, Music

DescriptionWell, we knew it was inevitable. It appears that one of my personal favorites sites on the internet, AllOfMP3.com, may finally be in a position to be shut down. While many figured what they were doing was okay by Russian standards, our friends in the Russian police force felt otherwise. Now they are under criminal copyright investigation due to their pay-per-megabyte music model. Say it …

The iPod photo Gets Upgraded

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Portable Audio / Video

iPod photo

Continuing with the iPod coverage, Apple has also updated the iPod photo line. There isn’t much to it, but here are the details:

The 40 GB iPod photo is no more. In its place is a slim, trim 30 GB model which retails for a cool $349 USD. The 60 GB model remains, but costs only $449. Just yesterday, the 40 GB iPod photo was $499, so this …

The New iPod mini 6 GB

iPod mini 6 GB

We all knew that it was just a matter of time before Apple announce an iPod mini with a larger capacity hard drive. What wasn’t expected, though, was that they would also keep the current mini line virtually intact. Apple’s new iPod mini now holds 6 GB of data, and has a very nicely upgraded battery that lasts for about 18 hours per charge. The gold …

Anti-Panti: Make Your Thong Be Gone

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Wearables

Antipanti

Behold, the Anti-Panti. Those polka dot looking things up there are actually 4” discs of cloth which are sticky on the underside. The point here is that the ladies will be able to stop wearing panties altogether, and instead stick these things in the crotch of their pants. No more panty lines, because you are no longer wearing panties! It’s like wearing a pad all the time, but with designs …
