Do You Really Need More Broadband Speed?

As connection speeds for home users continue to be upgraded, one question comes to mind, “Do we really need and have a use for all this speed?” Although any one’s initial answer may be, “Yes, give me more!” this is hardly the case – at least at this point in time. Sure it’s great to have a 20Mbps connection, but without websites providing content worthy of such speeds, what’s the point? No matter how fast your download speed, you will never be able to bring in the content faster than the server can serve it. “Do we really need and have a use for all this speed?”

That smells like bengay and old geezer talk. Reminds me of PC magazine where senior citizens love to talk about technology.

I say if the technology is there for faster connections, then bring it on!  I’m sick of not being able to play UT2004, Doom 3, etc online while downloading w/ bit torrent.

If I can have a faster connection that allows me to have 5 downloads running and a ping of 60 in a game, then it’s about time!
