ZumBox Paperless Postal Service
Take a look at Zumbox, a startup that is a nationwide paperless postal service. They have one virtual mailbox for every street address which they estimate at 150MM+. To use the service, after signup you type in your street address and view your mail as an envelope. Use it to send mail to any other address, including your bills, statements and personal mail. It costs nothing to receive mail and you can send free a “small amount.” Businesses will pay an introductory price of $.02 per address for large mailings.

Wow. Talk about short sighted. So they use your public info use it to spam you. Who is liable? They shut down napster for sponsoring illegal activity. What is the fine for spam? $10K? per incidence. The porn masters are going to love this!

Juan, I agree completely.
I’m all for getting rid of junk mail but I don’t see this company’s business plan for doing it. What I do see is a bunch of more spam brought to you by your friends at Zumbox. How stupid do they think American consumers are? strike that question.
There’s a service called www.earthclassmail.com that’s been around for a few years that really lets you get your postal mail delivered online. Have seen several positive reviews on it.
