New Years BallYou probably caught the Times Square New Years Ball on TV last night, but now you can visit it at a later date. The organizers have announced that it will be a permanent attraction for the entire year. The globe is a 12 ft. geodesic sphere and weighs almost 12,000 lbs. It is about twice the size of previous ones. The ball is covered with a Waterford Crystal design named “Let There Be Joy” and Philips’ 32,256 Luxeon Rebel LEDs that create more then 16 million colors in billions of patterns.
