Apple and Adobe collaborating on Flash for iPhone
What’s the latest on the iPhone Flash rumors? It looks like work is being done, but that finding a solution is proving to be tough, as evidenced by Adobe’s Shantanu Narayen:
“It’s a hard technical challenge, and that’s part of the reason Apple and Adobe are collaborating,” Narayen told Bloomberg Television at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “The ball is in our court. The onus is on us to deliver.”
Did you get that? Apple and Adobe are working together to come up with a suitable Flash derivative for the iPhone. So while there’s no set date or anything, we can at least rest assured that it’s coming. iPhone Hulu, anyone?

Why is this link still valid? As of March 17, 2009, Apple says there will be no Flash. Yeah, it’s coming so is death. If anything, it’ll be in the iPhone 3rd of 4th version.
Asked about support for Adobe Flash, “video is still a blackhole if you visit a website with Flash,” Apple said it has no announcements on that front, instead deflecting attention to the fact that the phone supports H.264 video streams, and adds new support for HDTV streaming for audio and video.
Video playback is the main use of Flash on the web outside of animating advertisements. However, a variety of major sites that use Flash for video on the web, including YouTube, CBS Mobile, and the BBC, now push standard H.264 video to the iPhone directly.

Andru is half-a-retard, thinks he’s In-The-Know…
Flash webpage components run continuously and would kill the iPhone battery in 20 minutes.
Give Andru an extra crispy drumstick or a taco, he does mean well even though he’s stupid.
