Reminds me of a little kit I bought probably 15 years ago called the “LED-tric Christmas Tree.” It was built up of three half-pine-tree-shaped PCBs that soldered together at the center and had LEDs on the “branches” (along with silkscreened “snow”). The base held 2 C-cell batteries and the boards had something akin to 555 timers that blinked the LEDs randomly. What was really clever was the circuit pattern around the “trunk” area since you soldered it together with 4 or 5 pads per segment that carried the LED drive signals and battery power to the three ICs and their outputs to different LEDs on each section of the tree, so neighboring LEDs weren’t flashing together. The company only made them for one year…too bad…they were cute.

If you think those are cool, you should check out these ornaments on PCB that have flashing LEDs (lights up when you touch them). The website is www.circtistic.com and they use the wires on a circuit board to create amazing and creative artisitc expression on a PCB.
