This is misleading in the the power pack is useless without the sync dock. It is not a stand-alone item. There are three products that are related so let’s not confuse them:
Sync Dock ($50): Let’s you sync your Zune with your computer via your computer’s USB port. Just a dock and remote control.
Power Pack ($50): This is useless without the sync dock: “Expand your Zune Sync Dock to the full HD experience”. This is just an HDMI cable and AC charger and composite cables to hook the dock up to a TV and power it via a wall socket. All these components are readily available for less and many folks might already have them.
HD AV Dock ($90): As above, just the sync dock plus some cables so you can display HD video on your TV while charging from the wall. Saves $10 over buying individually but, again, you may save more if you have cables or AC adaptor from elsewhere. These are generic.

I’m using my old AV Dock that I purchased for my Zune 80 with my Zune HD. Even though the output from this older AV dock is RCA Composite cables, the picture quality (from video Podcasts) is WAY better on my HD TV than it ever was out of my Zune 80. The remote control meant for the Zune 80/120, controls the Zune HD too.
I plan to get the proper Zune HD AV Dock when I have a little more cash. Ironically, as the first commenter mentioned, the Power Pac cables are everything that the AV Dock package contains EXCEPT the Dock and (by the looks of it) you CAN’T use the HDMI Cable without the AV Dock. What they should be selling is the Dock ONLY. That way those of us that have the old AV Dock could use the calbes we already have plus a generic HDMI to output the 720p.
The Zune HD itself is GREAT!
