Beambox Essential G2 Projector ready for pre-order

Beambox essential g2 projectorProjectors are making quite a splash in the consumer gadgets market these days, and many of them are getting smaller.  This is especially true of the Beambox Essential G2, which weighs in a mere 75 grams.

Anything that you want to project is possible with just a USB connection, which can serve as the primary power source.  It can also hold some images and some video with 1GB worth of storage space.  The LED bulb produces 20 lumens, and will last for 30,000 hours.

The Beambox Essential G2 can be purchase from the BeamBox site for about $250.  It comes with a mini-tripod, a remote control, as well as driver software.

Beambox do not answer their telephones and their LiveChat is permanently offline. I did finally get an email response from them with the useful suggestion that I ensure the unit was plugged into the computer….

The unit itself is very light but has a noisy fan. The brightness although an advertised 25 lumens is nowhere near this and compares poorly with Optoma projectors of only 10 lumens.

All in all an abysmal effort compounded by poor customer service and I shall
