Quicktime Goes Full Screen for Free

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Apple, PC / Laptop, Software

Quicktime 7.2 UpdateWe sometimes use Quicktime on sites when we don’t have a choice, but we really prefer our Microsoft Media Player for its, let’s face it, $0.00 price tag. Now Apple has decided that its 7.2 player will now be able to do one of the things its competitor does, offer full screen viewing. The new version also updates to an H.264 codec and promises a few bug fixes. You can choose between a 19.3MB download for Windows or 51.5MB for Macs.
We appreciate the crumbs but we are still not certain we are ready to pay $30.00 for their Quicktime Pro because we can still head on down to our nearest electonics store and pick up some inexpensive editing software that can do everything Quicktime can, and more, for about the same price.
