iPhone 3G S CPU and RAM specs

Okay, we all know that the is faster. Heck, it’s the fastest iPhone Apple has ever made. They keep telling us that, but they haven’t exactly told us why that is. Luckily, T-Mobile Netherlands isn’t being so secretive, as they’ve posted the internal specs that we’ve been wanting to hear about. The iPhone 3GS packs a 600MHz CPU and rocks 256MB of RAM. The current iPhone 3G only has a 412MHz CPU and 128MB RAM. Obviously, a 33% faster processor and 50% more RAM is what is helping to make this thing fly, but don’t forget that the iPhone 3G S also has a newer, more powerful graphics chip in the PowerVR SGX, which supports OpenGL ES 2.0. All in all, yeah, faster.
