V-Moda customer service responds

Posted by Sparky Categories: Accessories, Cell Phones, Music, Portable Audio / Video

Mere hours after the post regarding V-Moda’s horrible customer service, they got back to me with status on the warranty and the news that they would be shipping replacement Duos right away. The communication did not mention if the previous article had any influence on their response, but the timing certainly is suspicious. The note included an apology stating that they had moved offices which had caused delays. While finally getting contact is nice V-Moda’s inability to properly set expectations was inexcusable.

Good customer service does not always mean instant resolution on an issue, but it always means rapidly responding to contact and setting expectations properly. After 9 days of sending mails to V-Moda with no response any customer is going to be frustrated - a frustration which could have simply been avoided with a quick email on day one stating that they had received the communication and would have an official response within two weeks.

In conclusion, I can no longer heartily recommend the Vibe Duos to owners seeking headsets. Don’t get me wrong - I love my Vibe Duos, they sound great and are super comfortable but after 3 failures and such abysmal customer service I’m left with both a sour taste in my mouth and a sadness in my heart that if history is any indication the replacement Duos in all likelihood won’t last longer than 3-4 months.

Sounds like they are trying to cover themselves. They need to be investigated more to see what they are up to, I think. I bet the article did have something to do with it, they dont want bad reviews you know, then people wouldnt buy their product.

Well, at least I learned a lesson from this article.  Don’t purchase a headphone based on it’s quality, also check how long it lasts.  If it doesn’t last long then I’ll end up purchasing another one to replace it and waste money.  It’s great that we have online reviews that help us determine whether or not we should purchase certain products.

I think V-Moda can earn their reputation back as long as they provide better customer service and make better headphones that last long.

I have purchased 2 Duos and have recommended to three other people who have bought them.  I am now going through the same hell as everyone else.

Today I tried to send a fax to their President trying to get some satisfaction, but as most have discovered, they are very secretive about their contact info.  I was able to get through on the phone, and after some arm twisting, the girl gave me a fax number.  Lord only knows where it goes to.  When I asked for the name of the President of the company, she flat out refused to give it to me.  All she said was to address is to “Val” and they would see that it got delivered.

A huge number of people in my industry are switching to iPhones and I have been speaking the praises of V-Moda Duo’s.  I know of at least 5 more people who are wanting the Duo’s, but I have already asked them to wait and see how they treat my case.

I work in a very high-noise environment and cannot be without my headphones for 3 or 4 weeks.

If the company doesn’t trust the customer, why should we trust the company.

I also had a problem with their customer service and product . I bought two of the headphones with the built in Mic for use on my I touch when using skype. One worked fine, the other one never worked at all. I returned the broken pair to v-moda after filling out the warranty forms, ( it was less than 2 months old) and I got a reply back saying that since I did not buy directly from them that the warranty was void. These were brand new in a sealed blister pack. Must be nice to know that you are doing so well that you don’t need good customer service. I will purchase another product from them nor will I promote the to anyone else. I bought the ones from apple and they were cheaper and work better

I hate V-Moda. I fell they owe me $300 bucks. I went through 3 pairs of vibes in 1 year. They are such a rip off and need to be shut down for robbing the public. Yes they sound good but only for about 2 or 3 months, after that the right ear will go out an that’s it. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever spend your money on any V Moda product !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
