Schmap Mapping for iPhone and iPod touch

Schmap for iPhone

Schmap has come out with a new beta service for s and iPod touches similar to Google mapping. When you hold your device vertically, it features places of interest on a scrollable list which is updated dynamically. Rotate to landscape and it shows them on a map. Tap a name from the list or one of the icons to get more information such as location and phone number with pics. Touch previous or next and you get your choice of other places in the area. Contact Schmap on your iPhone to try out their service.

Too little information given on Schmap website,no pricing, nothin. And are their maps service taken from google of they use their own?

Hmm I have never heard of Schmap before!  If I had an iPod Touch (which I am starting to wish I had one after seeing all the cool things it can do) I would definitely check this out—the big question, like always, is what is the cost going to be like?

This appears to be a nice feature. If you own one of the iphone or touch, you are going to have no excuse for getting lost.

This software is a freeware of 6.99mb but it is not available in all the countries.
But i think this yet another great map feature.
