Panasonic Blu-ray DMP-BD50

Panasonic has unveiled its new 3rd generation Blu-ray player DMP-BD50. It features DolbyTrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, PIP, and BD-Live to connect to the Net. The company has included an SD card slot for viewing images on an HDTV from video or still cam with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a VIERA link to control to home theater components with one remote. See this is the problem I have with blu-ray and why I supported HD DVD at the time, its way too expensive compared to the existing technology, whereas HD DVD, if accepted by everyone, could have come to the market faster! But alas we are stuck with blu-ray (which is, admittedly, the better technology) but then again better technology doesnt always win out (ex/ Betamax and the PS3)

Since sony is the only player ,it will keep prices high for some time,just enough time so that they dont get sued though.
