iPhone 3G launching at 8 AM on July 11

iPhone 3G Launch and AT&T have finally been letting those of us in the US in on their launch plans. As it turns out, unlike last year’s 6:00 PM iPhone launch, the iPhone 3G is going to be available bright and early at 8:00 AM. AT&T confirmed that their stores will be opening at 8:00 sharp to start selling the new iPhone - and it makes sense. Since people need to sign up for lines of service, things may go a bit slower this time around. Oh, also, an 8 AM launch doesn’t mean there will be any less of a line. That line will just grow huge overnight instead of during the afternoon. Break out the sleeping bags!

We should be thankful that here in the U.S. we don't have as bad rates for the 3G iPhone as the Canadians do. Rogers is offering very expensive data plans to Canada. The Canadians aren't happy about it and they've even started a petition at: http://www.ruinediphone.com/ It's gotten at least 23,000+ signatures!

I wonder why they have bad rates and we dont. Probably because they arent part of the USA, glad I dont live there. I wouldnt be happy about it either if I lived there, its not fair to them. Maybe that petition might help them out. Guess we will wait and see.

i have really been looking forward to the app store so when it comes out i definetly will get it for my ipoid touch............................................................... does anyone no if the app store has an app where u can like customize it to where it looks like u jailbroken it such as themes????????????????? :-)

Well, the fact that you can’t purchase it online and it requires activation really sucks.  I’m sure we would be seeing a lot of the 3G iPhones selling for really high prices on eBay if people were able to purchase them without activation.

They should of made it purchase online to. Maybe then there wouldnt be so many people camping outside. I remember when the ps3 was first gonna start selling there were people camped out where I live at walmart. I would never do this, I would just wait until I could just go buy one.
