It had to happen eventually. Japan has always been Hello Kitty-friendly, and NEC decided to cater to those fans with the La Vie G model, which became available this week in that country, but only online. In cooperation with HK’s Sanrio brand, the laptop operates on Windows Vista, has a 100GB hard drive, and can hold up to 1GB of memory. Supposedly NEC wants to appeal to women with its embedded 299 Swarovski crystals, and advertises it as “dazzling and gorgeous like a jewelry box,” but at a price of $1,650.00, it would take more than just a cute cat to capture our attention.
