# PSP is better for games based on virtual reality (simulator, racing, fighting, suspense), because you need screen size, graphic powers, and solid controls for complex actions.
# DS is better for fun type and casual games, more interactive and strategy nature.

Both are good, so take your pick what you want to do, or pick both and play either one when you are in the right mood.

by the way before i begin my articles on why the PS3 sucks in LK’s PS3 series of events, i hafta say this… we all have our opinions on the DS and PSP and which one is better, but the fact is DS is outselling PSP n it aint even close now, just look at these sales.

DS units sold: Worldwide: 100 million, including DS Lite and DSi units (as of March 6, 2009)

PSP units sold: Worldwide: 50 million (as of February 2009)

I have a DS and a psp
and psp stands out alot.
DS isn’t that bad…... (only because of mario games and zelda)
but psp has grand theft auto games and WAY WAY WAY better graphics.
most of the games for ds suck.
psp win overall with WI-FI.

I traded in my DS to get a psp.(withought telling my mom)
unluckly my mom also bought me a psp for my birthday.

Personally, I think that the DS is better. Before you flame, I’m not a fanboy to any one company. I have owned only Nintendo handhelds, but have owned Sony consoles.

The PSP is essentially a mini PS2. The graphics are fairly good, but they don’t feel right to me. The DS is also fairly good, and I like the games for the DS better. I’m just more of a RPG/Platformer/Puzzle kind of guy.

The PSP has all this extra stuff like playing movie, music, and browsing the web. The DS can only play games, but is that really a bad thing? I already have an MP3 player, so that part of the PSP is useless to me. My friend has a mini DVD player, so that part of the PSP is useless. The web browsing is pretty much the only part I could use. The PSP is good, but I already have a PS2, and I don’t have a DS. I would rather get the DS.

the psp does not suck. the ds is good. but lets see lets say u get bored of a game and want to listen to music u pull out ur ipod or cd player. thats what you have to do wit a ds. if im playin psp and get bored i have other things i can do. i can play my music or watch a movie. if there is wifi i can download all the music i want from the website downloads.nl the psp might die or break but hey that is on the individual that owns it who breaks it not the system. what can the ds do draw and play games i mean thas good. but i’d rather have other options. psp is the obvious bang for your buck. ds naaaaaaaaaa its just a gameboy

actually i have both of them, but i think im goin with the nintendo ds, i mean, the psp has a ****load of malfunctions, ALL THE TIME!!! well not all the time, it mostly gets messed up or something. OH! and it’s fragile too. Compared to the Nintendo DS, the DS hardly ever gets any problems. It might matter if the graphics suck or not, but it mostly matters that you have a game that you can play.

im tired of people saying that the psps sucks. it does not suck. the psp is a very good handheld. it just depends what games you like to play. if you want innovative new games get the ds. if you want gritty fun adult games get the psp. the ds is more of a toy the psp is more of a console. the ds can withstand alot of damage because its built tough like a toy for the younger audience. the psp is meant for teens and adults.

yaaaa….but!, also i said i went for the ds because right now, my psp is seriously JACKED UP! the buttons are functioning by themselves, i cant exit the game by pressing home, and when i do press home the volume automatically shuts off, and this just pisses me off; when i am playing, the problems get worse and the screen turns off! I can’t see anything but the volume is still on!!!!! And sometimes the brightness adjusts by it’s self. It’s like my PSP is haunted!!! I have to go get it fixed.

But…..for my Nintendo DS, everything is goin great! The touch screen works perfectly, the buttons work too, AND here’s the thing. I got my PSP in 2007 and i got my DS in 2005!
and my DS isn’t the DS lite, it’s the original one! And you now how they say new things work better than old things, well my Original DS works WAAAAAAYYY better than my PSP.

.....(By the way both my handheld games are original).....

Oh ya, the PSP games are fragile too.

and the DS is compatible with Gameboy Advance and Gameboy Color games

well u got that right the ds is better for durable gaming. it will last u longer thats wat nintendo is about durability. i luv my wii cuz of it. and i know that ds can play all gameboy games but psp can play all ps one games alot of the ps2 games are made on it and psp exclusives. they even sell movies for it. and have extra feautures. so its like i said u had a psp u had a bad experience wit it. i bet people wit ds have had problems wit thiers too. not every machine will be perfect. look at the 360 its hardware is garbage stays breaking i own a 360 too. i dont play it much im afraid it will break das why but i do play it. it is outselling the ps3 cuz of the games. so its all about preference like i said. i have had my psp since 2008 i have dropped it millions of times it still works fine its all banged up. i lost the joystick nub and my screen is all scratched and dust is inside. but still works. i got the old fat one. i owned a ds and i returned it cuz it wouldnt read the cartridges. but while i had it it was fun. but i broke on me i have no idea how. but the ds is still good. just not my cup of tea.

The DS is just utter fail.
All Nintendo does is re release the same games we’ve seen over and over.
Mario, Pokemon, Metriod, ect. It’s the same game under a different title.
The graphics do not even come close to the PSP.

Oh and not only does it have way better games with higher ratings, graphics, replay value and INFRASTRUCTURE multiplayer, it can play movies, go on the internet, listen to music, get RSS feeds and on the newer psp SKYPE, you can use it as a freggin phone! You can also store pictures on this beast. I know you can go on the internet on the DS but their browser is just weak sauce and it’s an ADD-ON, they clearly added it knowing the PSP was whopping them. The browser on the PSP is just easy to use, it looks good, typing is easy once you get the hang of it. You can even go on sites that let you use AIM, MSN, Myspace, Facebook ect. You can download updates, clips, demo’s right off the PSnetwork to your PSP. The PSP actually makes USE of it’s wifi being there are so many games with Infrastructure and Ad-Hoc, that are nicely done. The DS hardly has any wifi capability in their games. Oh and I almost forgot, a MICROPHONE for your online games? Yeah it’s like having a home system all in one portable device.

There is no war going on between the PSP and DS. The DS has lost a long time ago. Nintendo is just outdated and should just call it quits already. Sony continues to show them up over and over again. Pwnd.
