Mac mini Options See Price Drop

Mac mini Price Drop Well, that was certainly quick. If you weren’t one of the ones that felt the need to preorder the the second it was announced, you are in luck if you were thinking of buying one with some Apple customized features. After less than a week at retail, Apple has lowered the price for the WiFi, Bluetooth, hard drive and RAM add-ons. For example, you can now get both integrated Bluetooth and AirPort Extreme for a cool $99, or a 512 MB RAM upgrade for $75. Now, yesterday they had also bumped up the speed of the Superdrive from 4x to 8x - but when I looked again today, it was back to 4x. Why must you toy with us, Apple? Why?

It’s still much more cost effective to buy the ram yourself then crack open the case with a putty knife.  Same thing goes with the harddrive.  1GB + 100GB Notebook drive in the Mac Mini and it would be pretty nice.

The one thing that’s keeping me away from it is the vid.  Radeon 9200 32mb?

When they give an option to kick up the vid, then I’ll buy it.

Apple Store links are always expired and invalid. They never work, it’s impossible AFAIK to put up a link to an individual item. I’m not sure if that’s a bug or a “feature.”

and so my car media system gets cheaper…
