How to install Flipboard for Android right now
As we reported, Flipboard for Android has leaked and is now available for download to pretty much any Android device, obliterating the Samsung Galaxy S III limited exclusivity window. Want it right now? Sure you do. Here's how to get it:
You're gonna wanna head over to the XDA forums and grab the Flipboard .apk that was uploaded by Valcho. Now, to make this super easy, do this from your Android device. It'll download and prompt you to install the file right on the device.
If you wanna make things more difficult for yourself though, you can download the file to a computer first, and then email it to yourself to an account that you can access from your Android device. Open the attachment, and you should be good. Alternatively, you can also drag-and-drop the file from your computer to the phone after tethering it with a USB cable, but who wants to do that?
We've got reports that Flipboard works wonderfully on a variety of Android devices, including the Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S II, Droid RAZR, Droid RAZR MAXX, Droid X, as well as a bunch of tablets. If you've got an Android device, go ahead and give it a try.
