Guitar Folds Up For Small Spaces

Folding Guitar

Never worry about bulky guitar cases again. The Devillain Guitar Company has come up with one made of Honduras mahogany that you can fold up and carry to the next gig. The innovative electric instrument was designed by a Swedish pilot/guitarist who must have a very small plane. Turn a knob located on the side, unscrew its neck and fold. Simple, yes? Perhaps, but the $3370.00 isn’t such a simple price and you had better make sure you bring an extra pair of strings for the unfolding, just in case.

I’m something of a geek guitar aficionado, but I would have to see this guitar to believe that it’s playable every time you open it.  It seems like the setup and action would change every time it was unfolded in a different place.

Maybe that’s where the hefty price tag comes in, though.

Great job on your articles, Sheila.  I enjoy reading them daily in my news aggregator.

I also have doubts whether this will work in terms of setup when unfolded. That and the design with a neck which has less contact with the body might not give you the greatest sound.

Never played on though….
