Google Users Beware





DescriptionIf you’re an avid Google user, (and really, who isn’t?), be sure to pay close attention to how you type Google’s address into your browser.  Security company F-Secure made an announcement that if users were to visit “Googkle.com” they would be bombarded with various trojan viruses, spyware, and backdoors. The attack is aimed at users in a rush or that simple put in a type, as the “k” key is right next to the “l” key.

LOL! haha! precision is everything.

haha i tried it just for the sake of it and found that in firefox it tries over and over to install some IE toolbar from the russian site toolbarpartner.com.  stupid thing.

Dang…so all you have to do is visit that site?

Why don’t the powers that be close down and prosecute these people who run sites like these.

Didn’t they convict the Melissa author and send him to jail?

Or…. just get a mac…....

That’s why I use the built-in search function in Firefox. Search Google without actually going to the site smile

or just get a distro…

damnit. You know posting the url makes me really want to go there to see. Grrr, gotta resisit the temptation, gotta resist…

^^I went to it (what’ve i got to lose?), but they already brought down the site LOL
