Gear Live Omega Giveaway: The $2,000 Gamestop Xbox 360 Bundle

Omega Bundle GiveawayOkay, so I was discussing Gamestop’s ridiculously amazing, and horrendously overpriced Xbox 360 Omega Bundle on The Chris Pirillo Show last week. This contest starts now, and will end a week before Xbox 360 launch. Here is how it will go down. In order to enter, you need to be a registered user on the site, and must place your mailing address in the signup form in the Sync Magazine box. No worries, as your address will only be used to mail you your Bundle, and send you a Sync subscription if you check that box. Once this is done, be sure you are logged in and leave a comment here in this post. What we want to know is the following:

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?
2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Be sure to tell us why you are excited about (or not looking forward to) the games you choose. The winner will be someone who follows the instructions, and will be chosen at random. Once again, this one is only for those located in the good ol’ USA. There you have it. Someone is about to be buried in Xbox 360 games.

The game I’m most looking forward to it Project Gothem Racing 3. I’m a huge racing game fan and I want to see the new features.

I’m not looking forward to Tiger Woods 2006 because I’ve never been able to get into gold or golf games…it’s just not my sport.

1. Project Gotham Racing 3 - I’m a huge racing fan and want to see the features of the new version.

2. Tiger Woods 2006 - Golf just isn’t my sport. I have never been able to get into it, either as a sport or game.

1)  I am looking foward to Call of Duty 2, I was a big fan of CoD for PC and am interested in the graphics quality and game play of the sequel.

2)  I am not a hockey fan and hate playing it on the console so i would have to say NHL 2K6.

1) I am most looking forward to trying Frame City Killer.  As a fan of the Hitman series, I am curious about its player directed storyline.  Although being an assassin in a place called Frame City seems to be asking for trouble.

2) I am not looking forward to Tiger Woods 2006 because I just can’t get excited about golf games.

Overall, the initial game selection looks pretty good and it will be interesting to see how they have improved on old favorites.

the game i’m looking forward to the most is top spin 2…i loved it on xbox live and played it as much as i played halo.  there are of course a ton of other games i’m looking forward to as much but i closed my eyes and pointed and top spin was the one i landed on.

and the game i’m not looking forward to as much is wasteland.  i’ve played it with a buddy of mine who owns me everytime and for some reason i just cannot play that game…. well, that is.  atleast not as good as madden, basketball…or really any other game.

The game I’m looking forward to the most is Kameo. It looks very nice visually, but more than anything else I just want to see how it ended up after so long in development. Plus it seems like the closest the 360 will come to a Zelda type title, (at least in the launch batch of titles).

The game I’m least looking forward to is Madden NFL 2006. I can appreciate the graphics and technology advances, but I’m just not a sports fan so the whole franchise really does nothing for me.

The game I’m most looking forward to… probably Quake IV.  I’ve been a lifelong fan of the Quake series (much as I’m normally an RPG kinda guy), and I really think they’ve got a winner here.

As for least… I’d say NBA 2k6.  I really don’t like basketball, whether I’m watching, playing, or gaming.

Mostly looking forward to NFS: Most Wanted. I’ve been playing the series since NFS 2 when it first supported the new 3DFX card. Which I bought for Quake of course.

Least interested in Tiger Woods, cause I’d rather play golf for real than on a console.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - I have been an avid PC gamer and a BIG fan of this series for years, dating back to Daggerfall.  I absolutely CANNOT WAIT for this game to come out!  I will likely buy it on PC, and also buy a 360 and a copy too (unless I win this contest of course).  This game will rock, what with its tremendous depth, amazing non-linearity, and what promises to be the best looking RPG ever made, hands down.  Yay for Bethsoft!  Yay for Oblivion!

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle

Tiger Woods 2006 - Don’t get me wrong, I like golf games and I actually like this series, but frankly, out of all the other interesting games in the bundle, this one just strikes my fancy the least.  I mean, how much better can a golf game look?  And how much better can it play?  Past a certain point, next-gen will change very little, and it will be the same old game as before.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

THE ELDER SCROLLS: OBLIVION - This will redefine RPG gaming as we all know it.  I have been a hardcore Elder Scrolls gamer since Daggerfall came out on PC oh so long ago, and I have been waiting for this one ever since I finished Morrowind, so you better believe that out of ALL the games coming out for 360, this is the one I’m looking forward to the most.  Not only that, but I’m planning on buying both the PC AND 360 versions, unless of course I win this contest, but even then, no game in the last 3 years is going to get as much love from me as this one.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle

CONDEMNED - Nothing against Monolith, because F.E.A.R. looks like it will rock, but frankly, I’m not a big fan of the hardcore horror genre, which this clearly seems to be a part of.  I don’t like excessive gore, and I don’t really care for excessively dark games or extremely dull color palettes.  I like a more varied palette and more colorful, lighter environments to explore, so this game would probably be put into the system last.

1.) Perfect Dark Zero.  (Loved the first one, really looking forward to see what RARE has in store for us with this one.  With all the years they have put in development of it, I am anticipating this to be the must have game of the year.)

2.) DOA 4.  (The other DOA’s never really interested me.  And there is no way in hell my wife would let me play that game with what those women are or aren’t wearing.  grin  If I win, I will give DOA 4 to whoever wants it.)

The game I am looking forward most to in this bundle is Perfect Dark Zero.  The game I am looking forward to least is Top SPin 2 as I am not a fan of tennis.

The game I’m most looking forward to is Perfect Dark.  Why?  It was my favorite game on the N64.  Perfect Dark was N64’s Halo.

Game I am looking least forward to: Elder Scrolls.  I’m just not big on rpgs.  It’s probably a great game though.

The game I’m looking forward to the most is Perfect Dark. I love DOA3 and so I’m sure I’ll love DOA4, but Perfect Dark has had a special place in my heart ever since the N64 days when my best friend and I would play deathmatch. Okay, I know the graphics haven’t been the most spectacular (aka, wall guy), but still, I’m holding out hope…

I’m definitely not looking forward to Tiger Woods - I’ve just never liked golf in any form.

Game I am most looking forward to is Oblivion. I loved Morrowind and Oblivion is going to be exponentially better.

The game I a least looking forward to is Tiger Woods 2006. Golf = Boring.

Most looking forward to: Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Morrowind stole my life, and even after having to restart several times (it was on my friend’s xbox.) Obvilion has me excited to an extreme level. For some reason I always liked Morrowind on the Xbox better than PC for some reason, so I will probably get it on the 360. Also, Morrowind tried to eat my computer. :O

Least looking forward to: Madden 2006. I have ESPN 2k5, and played Madden 05, and from what I’ve seen, all they’ve changed is the graphics. Most of the other games in this package have phantastic graphics, so I really have no reason to look forward to this game at all.

- “I just won an xbox 360! THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIIIIIIFE!”

Most anticipated is a toss up on if I want the fast paced action of an FPS or the freedom to explore in a RPG depending on mood. Right now thaat would be Elder Scrolls IV. I loved the open ended game of Elder Scrolls III immensly and I am hoping that IV will be as good.

Least favorite would be NHL 2k due to the fact that if I want sports I will play sports and not the video version of it. Though some of the more arcadey type sports games can be amusing when tossing friends around. smile

Honestly, there is not a single game in that bundle that I’m not looking forward to playing.  If there’s one that stands out above the others, it’d be Oblivion (though Kameo, Gun and, for some reason, Condemned are up there, too).  If I had to pick one I’m least interested in, it’d be NHL 2K6.  But I’d happily play it if the bundle were mine!

There is not a single game in this bundle that I wouldn’t be excited to play, so it’s hard to pick one I’m looking forward to the most and even harder to pick one I want to play the least.

If forced, I’d pick Oblivion, partly for the amazing looking graphic engine, but mostly because I’ve tried every Elder Scrolls game up to now, and this one seems like the one where all the pieces will finally come together.  It’s almost as though they’ve been wanting to make this game all along, but each time before, the technology was holding them back.

(Quick note that Kameo, GUN, and, for some reason, Condemned are also quite high on the want list, not to mention every single other game listed)

As for least interesting, I guess NHL2K6.  Sports games are my least favorite genre, and hockey games rarely dazzle me.  However, I would still play this game quite a bit if the bundle were mine (please)!

1 - The game I’m definitely looking forward to the most is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I’ve been a logtime fan of the Elder scrolls series and can only imagine what they will be able to do with the awesome power of the Xbox 360!

2 - I’d say I’m least looking forward to Ridge Racer 6.  That whole series is just too arcade like for me. I’m sick of drift racing and the title is jnust plain played out and tired =)

Thanks,

I am most looking forward to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion since I haven’t played Morrowind and have heard good things about the series.

I am least looking forward to Tiger Woods 2006, since I agree with George Carlin (whom I disagree with on many things) but indeed: “Golf is like watching flies #$%&.”

The game I am most looking forward to in the bundle is Kameo.

The game i’m least looking forward to in the bundle is Madden NFL 2006.

I know Kameo has gotten some bad press and undergone so many revisions, but I’m hoping Rare pulls out all the big guns and gets back to its roots with something delightfully fun. I had a blast with Banjo and Kazooie and their other platformers. Here’s to hoping they execute something great.

Madden I just can’t get excited about because it’s the same rehash over and over with their franchise. Until I see something earth shattering that makes me “need” to get it, I’ll be staying away. Plus their exclusive signing with the NFL brand kind of irritated me. Way to nix the competition, especially since that fosters better games. Lame!

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Hmm…that is a tough one.  I haven’t played any of the Elder Scrolls games, but I’ve read great things about them and ES IV looks amazing!  Lush forests and foliage and great texture detail.  I’m also a fan of the Ridge Racer arcade style racing, but I’d say Call of Duty 2 is the game that I’m looking forward to the most.  Call of Duty 1 had some great adrenaline pumping sequences with the right amount of realistic details.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Probably NHL, since I’m not a big NHL fan.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Project Gotham Racing 3, I spent a lot of time playing its prequel on XBOX Live, probably more than any other game.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

I’d have to say Top Spin 2…tennis as a videogame just dosn’t sound very interesting to me…

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Definitley Call of Duty 2.  I really liked the first game, like fps and like WWII-themed games.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland.  Not a big fan of skateboarding or skateboarding in a wasteland.

The game I most look forward to from this bundle is NBA 2k6.

The game I least look forward to from this bundle is Tiger Woods 2k6.

The game I’m most looking forward to in the bundle would definetely be Elder Scrolls IV:  Oblivion.  The game looks fantastic, still open ended, but with more direction for the player than Elder Scrolls 3.  Hoping they speed up the walk speed over the old game.

The game I’m least looking forward to is Tony Hawk American Wasteland.  The series really peaked for me on Tony Hawk 2.  The last two games in the series have environments that are too open and don’t focus enough on actual skateboarding.  I’m afraid American Wasteland will continue to take the series further in this direction.

Great contest by the way.

Look forward to Quake 4 the most.  Can’t wait to see how they will improve after Doom 3.  Donesn’t like Tiger Woods 2006 because I am not a big Golf fan.

OMG I can’t wait to get my hands on Perfect Dark. I’m sure many of you remember one of the greatest FPS games ever, 007 Goldeneye for N64. I think I played that game for about 2 years straight (and many sleepless nights) without getting sick of it. Perfect Dark for N64 was very similar to Goldeneye, in terms of controls and weapons (PROXIMITY MINES..OH YES!!). I wooped so many of my friends in that game, just because of my previous experience with 007. I guarantee it will be one of the top games for Xbox 360.

I’m not really looking forward to Quake 4. Now I know that Xbox 360 will be up to par with (if not better than) many of the PCs that people have out there. I love FPS games in general, but I think Quake is one of those games that should be left on the PC where it originated. Just like Doom, CounterStrike and UT have been HUGE successes on the PC but not so huge on the consoles. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess.

1) Project Gotham Racing 3
Reason: It’s the follow up to one of the greatest racing titles ever; and of coure the graphics.

2) NHL 2k6
Reason: Hockey is one of the least American sports, and they just had a holdout that cost them a season and most of their casual fans.

1. The game in the bundle I’m most looking forward to is TES IV: Oblivion. If it’s everything they say it will be (and since Peter Molyneux isn’t on the team, there’s a good chance of that), it will be as big a landmark CRPG as Morrowind, Baldur’s Gate, and Fallout were. (As long as there’s an option to adjust the level of light bloom.) It will be a beautiful, proper, CRPG experience.

2. The game in the bundle I’m looking forward to the least is TES IV: Oblivion. (Now this may sound totally contradictory to you, but I assure you, it’s not. I’m just really fond of things that seem that way.) I am a PC Gamer (in no way associated with the POS magazine known as PC Gamer). Always was, always will be. That doesn’t mean I never play console games, I’m just extremely picky, as most non Dear Hunter playing PC Gamers are. I have a fast PC that will play Oblivion as well or better than the XBox 360 will, which means I will have no reason to play the version included in the bundle if I win it.

Those aren’t the only reasons though. When I think of Oblivion, I can’t help but also be reminded that Bethesda is the dev. This means a painful year-long patching process during which the game will be completely playable, but probably dreadfully buggy.
Bethesda being the dev also means a complete lack of Dialogue. Just a lot of one sided conversations and then keywords you get to ask. Troika broke up a little while back. Would it have been to much to expect for Bethesda to scoop up their jobless writers and get them to write/rewrite the entire story? No matter what you think of Troika’s games, man, those guys can Write, and that is damn important in an RPG.

1: Im really excited for Madden 06 because i want to see if it can live up to EA. Or maybe EA is just getting very lazy and we will be able to see it in this addition. Cant wait for this one.

2. Tiger Woods is going to be boring, i cant understand why people play this game.  Playing gold is alot better

1) The game i am most looking forward to is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion because the game is worth its money because its a long game, can basically roam around the game freely, get to do w/e u want, can chose to be a good person or a bad, great graphics, beautiful cities, good storyline, and its great because u can buy armor and weapons for yourself and your horse if you choose to have one
2) Tony Hawk’s American wasteland.  Im not much of a skateboarder and i dont really play sports games.  And the last time i skateboarded in real life i broke my arm
downer  shock

I am definitely looking forward to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. That game is just oozing greatness and creativity. I love Morrowind and Im sure I will love this. I guess NHL 2K6 is my least favorite on that list. I have never played a hockey game in my life, and dont play on starting now. I’m just not into the sport. Otherwise, every game there has something to offer; it really is an omega bundle.
-Q

1) The game I am most looking forward to is The Eldar Scrolls IV: Oblivion, simply because it is poised to be the best RPG that has come out in my lifetime as of yet, as far as immersion and interactivity are concerned. Oh yeah, the graphics are incredible as well, which just seals the deal further.  I usually would not hold a game to such high standards having never seen or played it in person, but the previous installments in this series have led me to believe that Bethesda are some of the best programmers amd visionaries in the biz.

2) The game I am least looking forward to is NBA 2K6, simply beacuse I am not a fan of sports games, though if I had to play one, I would much rather play a hockey or football game than basketball.  The only even halfway decent basketball game I ever played was Bill Laimbeer’s(sp?) Combat Basketball for SNES.

I am most looking forward to Project Gotham Racing 3.  PGR2 was one of the first games I ever bought for my original Xbox (after Halo, of course!).  That was almost three years ago - it has never gotten old, and is still just as fun now as it was then.  PGR3 looks to raise the bar even higher, with the awesome graphics, Gotham TV, the ability to lay down your own tracks, and more.

I’m not sure which game(s) I’m least looking forward to.  I suppose DOA4 would be one.  While the graphics have looked awesome in the trailers I’ve seen, that’s just not the kind of game for me.  Another would be Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland - I just don’t get it.  THAW seems to be about the same as the GTA series - those games just don’t seem like they’d be very much fun, especially at the rumored $59.99 price tag for non-first-party games.

I never win anything anyway; might as well give it a shot. No need for fancy posts or 500 word lectures.

1. My most antisipated game in this bundle is Oblivion due to it’s open ended gameplay and loads of replay value. Those who know Bethesda Softworks can see the quality put into their games which are hand crafted with care, without falling into over hyping their game titles.

2. My least anticipated game is Ridge racer6 for a couple reasons, but I’ll just name one. Ridge racer was “the” arcade racing game of the playstation console, but now it’s begining to show it’s age. The games that we loved in the old days stand as a monument for games to come, but some designers feel the need to rehash their titles destroying the image. It’s like resurrecting a long dead lover to find she’s only become rotton. Some games just arn’t ment to come back; gamers want to remember them in their pure state rather than have then run the name dry. Remember the new installment of outrun 2?

the end..

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?
Project Gotham Racing 3 -
Love playing this game on the Xbox, and the previews of this games graphics are awesome!

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?
NHL 2K6 -
Never was much into Hockey and with the lockout it seems to have futher slipped away.

1) I’m most looking forward to Call of Duty 2. I absolutely fell in love with COD and COD2 looks like it may live up to be a truye sequal.

2) I’ll have to say Tiger Woods 2006. In general I don’t like a single sports game but this would have to be the worst on my top games to play.

Im most excited for Perfect Dark Zero becuase i really like the one on the N64 and had a good story.

Im least excited for the Tiger Woods game becuase im not a big fan of golf video games

1)  I am defnitely looking forward to PGR3 the most.  While I will probably get equal or more personal enjoyment out of, say, Kameo Oblivion or PDZ, I just can’t see any game making the sort of impact that PGR will.  The graphics are un-be-frickin-lievable, and the online mode is ambitious and promising.  This will be the game that makes all your friends go “hey, can I come over your place and play 360 tonight?”

2)  I’m least looking forward to NBA2k6 because, pretty simply, I don’t particularly like bball.  Oh well :/

Hey all,

I am looking forward to Project Gotham Racing 3

I am not looking forward to Tony Hawks American Wasteland

1) Call Of Duty 2

2) Tiger Woods 2006

The game I’m most looking forward to is Oblivion. I have always bee a HUGE fan of the Elder Scrolls series, and this game just looks phenomenal in all aspects. Can’t wait to play this one!!

The game I’m least looking forward to is Tony Hawk’s. I never really got into these games, I guess I’m just not a huge skateboarding fan!!

With that said, I haven’t been this pumped for a console release in quite some time, and I would like to thank Gearlive for hosting this contest.

XBOX360 ROCKS!!

Xbox 360 Omega Bundle!

The thing I like least about this bundle would have to be the “fuego” face plate.  I can’t see putting a face plate on my new 360 that makes is look like a 70 retro muscle car rather than my newest piece of tech hardware.

Answering what I like the most about the Omega Bundle is not an easy task.  I would have to narrow this down one step at a time.  The first thing I like is the sheer size and scope of the bundle.  From day 1 you would have nearly everything available at launch (coolest kid on the block syndrome).  From there I like the amount of games included in the Omega Bundle.  Finally I am excited about the openess of Oblivion now accompanied by great graphics and the multiplayer experience that I am anticipating to be second to none in Perfect Dark Zero.

If I must answer what I am most looking forward to, I must say Ghost Recon 3 and the new Live features on the 360.

The game I’m looking forward to the most is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.  I’ve never played a true role-playing-game and the gameplay style looks interesting.  I’ve seen screenshots of the game and the graphics look very nice.  The beginning of the story that has been released intriques me.  I’ve read that this game will provide many hours of valuable entertainment.  That is why I’m looking forward to this game the most.

The game I’m looking forward to the least is Tiger Woods 2006.  This game might have good graphics and gameplay for a golf game.  However, golf bores me.  I find the sport of golf mundane and for this reason am not attracted to this game.

I am most looking forward to Dead or Alive 4. I enjoy fighting games and the online competition should be even better than DoA Ultimate.

I am least looking forward to Tony Hawk. Throwing in a BMX segment does not change the fact that it’s the same game every time (much like Madden).

Xbox 360 Omega Bundle!

The thing I like least about this bundle would have to be the “fuego” face plate.  I can’t see putting a face plate on my new 360 that makes is look like a 70 retro muscle car rather than my newest piece of tech hardware.

Now, the one thing I have to say I am looking most forward to is: Ghost Recon 3.  I have been a fan since Ghost Recon launched just after xbox live.

The game that I am most looking forward to is Dead Or Alive 4, because I have loved the series, since dreamcast. When I played it I thought the visuals were fantastic on dreamcast and I’ve played every game since up to DOA Utimate. Even though the character models in DOA4 don’t look as good as I had expected (lack of self shadowing and more bump mapping like Virtua Fighter 5), I still have high hopes for this game.

Now the game I am not looking forward to is Tiger Woods 2006, just because of the fact that I don’t really like golf.

I hope I’m lucky enough to get picked!!!
P.S Thanks for offering this Bundle it’s great!!! smile

The game I am most looking forward to is the Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.  I loved the previous iterations, and Oblivion looks to outshine each one, not to mention every other RPG outthere, in every imaginable way.  The Radian AI is groundbreaking.  200+ hours of gameplay is sweet, also.  Probably won’t even have time to play all the games with this, especially since I will be wanting to play all of them.

Which game am I least looking forward to?  That’s a good question.  All the games look great, but when it comes down to it, I’d have to choose Tony Hawks American Wasteland is my least wanted.  I can’t really get into skating games, and it doesnt seem like the developers have really changed the game from the Underground series, besides being able to skate the whole city.  Plus, it seems they aren’t optimizing it for the 360.

Quite the awesome giveaway, if I do say so myself.  Gamestop is probably happy, since they’ll sell at least one Omega bundle.
