Gear Live Omega Giveaway: The $2,000 Gamestop Xbox 360 Bundle

Omega Bundle GiveawayOkay, so I was discussing Gamestop’s ridiculously amazing, and horrendously overpriced Xbox 360 Omega Bundle on The Chris Pirillo Show last week. Before the end of the segment, Chris had convinced me to give one of these monsters away here on Gear Live. Thank him, because this is what we are giving away:

This contest starts now, and will end a week before Xbox 360 launch. Here is how it will go down. In order to enter, you need to be a registered user on the site, and must place your mailing address in the signup form in the Sync Magazine box. No worries, as your address will only be used to mail you your Bundle, and send you a Sync subscription if you check that box. Once this is done, be sure you are logged in and leave a comment here in this post. What we want to know is the following:

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?
2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Be sure to tell us why you are excited about (or not looking forward to) the games you choose. The winner will be someone who follows the instructions, and will be chosen at random. Once again, this one is only for those located in the good ol’ USA. There you have it. Someone is about to be buried in Xbox 360 games.

The game I’m most looking forward to is Madden 06. I haven’t bought a madden since 99 so now that I’m coming back to the game I think this game will rock with the new system and graphics.

The game I’m least looking forward to is Tiger Woods 06, I like the games, but they’ve been around for a long time and they’re all the same to me now.

On a side note… I hope they change the release date, I don’t want to be out on black friday trying to secure an xbox360

The game that I’m mostly looking foward for is Dead or Alive 4, because that has been the best fighting game invented sence virtual fighter.

The game that I’m leat looking forward to is NBA 2k6, i mean if you want to play sports go outside and do it… don’t play a video game based off of it.

Mr. Goopey

The Game that I am looking forward to the most is Dead or Alive 4.

The Game that I am looking foward to the least is NBA 2K6.

(1) The game I am most looking forward to is Dead or Alive 4.

(2) The game I am least looking forward to is NBA 2K6.

The Game I am most looking forward to on the Xbox 360 is Kameo.  I am really interested to see hwo the game turns out and I’ve been waiting since perfect dark on the N64 to play a game by Rare again.  The game im least interested in would have to be Madden NFL 2006.

The game I’m looking foward to the most is definately Quake 4. I can’t wait to try this shooter online with such a powerful system.

The game I’m looking foward to the least is NHL 06. I guess the NHL strike made possible what I thought was impossible… lowering a low interest in hockey raspberry

I’m super eager for Top Spin 2. Original Top Spin looked great, and hopefully they’ll step up the gameplay AND World Tour AND graphics. It’ll be sooper.

I’m not really hot on this Frame City Killer game - mostly because I don’t really know what it is. The title just doesn’t sound appealing. But who knows.

The game I am most looking foreward to is the “Tony Hawk’s american wasteland”. Because since I can’t skate for beans I can at least control a virtual skater that can do most tricks i can even name. And they game is fun to play with friends too, so you can either hit or get hit by a car just for fun.

The game I am least looking foreward to is “Tiger Woods 2006”. With all due respect to Mr.Woods, I just don’t see how golf is so exciting. Personally I think that who ever starts to play golf is because they are either sick of they’re wife’s crap or they have too much money to decide which club to join so they’re last resort was golf.

the game i am most lookin forward to is tiger woods 06 and the game i least look forward to is NHL just not really into the hockey games best hockey game i have ever played would be blades of steel for plain nintendo.

The game that I am most excited about is Ghost Recon 3: Advanced Warfighter. I’ve been following the updates on this game since the Xbox 360 leak. GR3: Advanced Warfighter just looks amazing! I want to just see the buildings explode and watch the other team get annihilated all over the ground smile.

Now the game that I’m least excited about (but still eager to see) is Top spin 2. I have never really been a fan of Tennis games , but it looks to good to turn down. Tennis just isnt my thing, and that is why i’m the least excited about it.

wow this is amazing…....... i can not wait….

i really want the sport games such as NBA 2k6/madden2k6/etc.

the game i dont really care about is tony hawk because it bores me really fast…. other than that everything is good…..

The Game I am most looking forward to in the pack is “Perfect Dark Zero Collectors Edition”. Perfect Dark for N64 was the secondest greatest FPS for that system and from what I have seen it looks like the new Perfect dark will be even better then the original.

The Game I am least looking forward to in the pack is Ghost Recon. The original Ghost Recon Game was so groundbreaking and fun. However the series started going down hill and I am afraid Ghost Recon for Xbox360 will be just that a Ghost.

1. I am most excited about Dead or Alive 4 because I have played each and every iteneration in the past and have found every game of the series to be exceptional! Judging by the screenshots and movies, the new one will not be a dissapointment!

2. Tiger Woods 2006, I really don’t like sports games that much, and golf excites me the least out of those. I’m sure it’s a fine game as far as golf games go, but just not my taste.

I’m with volcompunk,

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Dead or Alive 4, Since it hit the arcades in 96 it’s been a big favorite—cant wait for the new gfx and ONLINE PLAY!! smile

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Tiger Woods 2006… No adrenaline, no excitement, not my cup of tea.

I’m not only looking forward to Perfect Dark, I’m dying for it. I’ve cancelled my plans for the day following release just to make sure I have ample time to play. I’ll give my time to that instead of Tiger Woods, I just think golf should be played on a gold course that I can touch, or don’t play it at all. (not saying that I won’t spend a few hours [3 min] “just checking it out” because i’m sure the 360 will make the less amazing games fun to play. I shake with anticipation.

I am definetely looking forward to Call of Duty 2 the most! (Quake 4 in a close second).

My least awesome game is NHL 2k6… I just don’t like hockey. :(

Anyways, very cool thing you guys are doing here! smile

I will bake you guys a cake if I win! grin It’s the least I could do, right? wink

The game I’m most looking forward to it Project Gothem Racing 3. I’m a huge racing game fan and I want to see the new features.

I’m not looking forward to Tiger Woods 2006 because I’ve never been able to get into gold or golf games…it’s just not my sport.

1. Project Gotham Racing 3 - I’m a huge racing fan and want to see the features of the new version.

2. Tiger Woods 2006 - Golf just isn’t my sport. I have never been able to get into it, either as a sport or game.

1)  I am looking foward to Call of Duty 2, I was a big fan of CoD for PC and am interested in the graphics quality and game play of the sequel.

2)  I am not a hockey fan and hate playing it on the console so i would have to say NHL 2K6.

1) I am most looking forward to trying Frame City Killer.  As a fan of the Hitman series, I am curious about its player directed storyline.  Although being an assassin in a place called Frame City seems to be asking for trouble.

2) I am not looking forward to Tiger Woods 2006 because I just can’t get excited about golf games.

Overall, the initial game selection looks pretty good and it will be interesting to see how they have improved on old favorites.

the game i’m looking forward to the most is top spin 2…i loved it on xbox live and played it as much as i played halo.  there are of course a ton of other games i’m looking forward to as much but i closed my eyes and pointed and top spin was the one i landed on.

and the game i’m not looking forward to as much is wasteland.  i’ve played it with a buddy of mine who owns me everytime and for some reason i just cannot play that game…. well, that is.  atleast not as good as madden, basketball…or really any other game.

The game I’m looking forward to the most is Kameo. It looks very nice visually, but more than anything else I just want to see how it ended up after so long in development. Plus it seems like the closest the 360 will come to a Zelda type title, (at least in the launch batch of titles).

The game I’m least looking forward to is Madden NFL 2006. I can appreciate the graphics and technology advances, but I’m just not a sports fan so the whole franchise really does nothing for me.

The game I’m most looking forward to… probably Quake IV.  I’ve been a lifelong fan of the Quake series (much as I’m normally an RPG kinda guy), and I really think they’ve got a winner here.

As for least… I’d say NBA 2k6.  I really don’t like basketball, whether I’m watching, playing, or gaming.

Mostly looking forward to NFS: Most Wanted. I’ve been playing the series since NFS 2 when it first supported the new 3DFX card. Which I bought for Quake of course.

Least interested in Tiger Woods, cause I’d rather play golf for real than on a console.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - I have been an avid PC gamer and a BIG fan of this series for years, dating back to Daggerfall.  I absolutely CANNOT WAIT for this game to come out!  I will likely buy it on PC, and also buy a 360 and a copy too (unless I win this contest of course).  This game will rock, what with its tremendous depth, amazing non-linearity, and what promises to be the best looking RPG ever made, hands down.  Yay for Bethsoft!  Yay for Oblivion!

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle

Tiger Woods 2006 - Don’t get me wrong, I like golf games and I actually like this series, but frankly, out of all the other interesting games in the bundle, this one just strikes my fancy the least.  I mean, how much better can a golf game look?  And how much better can it play?  Past a certain point, next-gen will change very little, and it will be the same old game as before.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

THE ELDER SCROLLS: OBLIVION - This will redefine RPG gaming as we all know it.  I have been a hardcore Elder Scrolls gamer since Daggerfall came out on PC oh so long ago, and I have been waiting for this one ever since I finished Morrowind, so you better believe that out of ALL the games coming out for 360, this is the one I’m looking forward to the most.  Not only that, but I’m planning on buying both the PC AND 360 versions, unless of course I win this contest, but even then, no game in the last 3 years is going to get as much love from me as this one.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle

CONDEMNED - Nothing against Monolith, because F.E.A.R. looks like it will rock, but frankly, I’m not a big fan of the hardcore horror genre, which this clearly seems to be a part of.  I don’t like excessive gore, and I don’t really care for excessively dark games or extremely dull color palettes.  I like a more varied palette and more colorful, lighter environments to explore, so this game would probably be put into the system last.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Im looking forward to Perfect Dark Zero smile—Ive been waiting for this release for quite some time (about 2-3 years) I first played Perfect Dark on N64 AWSOME GAME! Can’t wait to actually get the game, I was kinda disapointed when I saw the E3 preview then I learned that the game was only 35 percent at optimal completion.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Tiger Woods 2006 - Im not looking forward to that beacuse I don’t really like Golf games, I like the other types of sports games (NBA, ect) - I also don’t like Tiger Woods because the game is just too hard to play, that coming from a person that doesn’t like Golf at all.

1.) Perfect Dark Zero.  (Loved the first one, really looking forward to see what RARE has in store for us with this one.  With all the years they have put in development of it, I am anticipating this to be the must have game of the year.)

2.) DOA 4.  (The other DOA’s never really interested me.  And there is no way in hell my wife would let me play that game with what those women are or aren’t wearing.  grin  If I win, I will give DOA 4 to whoever wants it.)

The two games I’m most looking forward to:  Perfect Dark Zero (‘tis a shame MS had to absorb Rare, but a godsend that another Perfect Dark is being released) and Kameo.

The two games I could care less about: Tony Hawk’s American Waste Land and NBA 2k6

The game I am looking forward most to in this bundle is Perfect Dark Zero.  The game I am looking forward to least is Top SPin 2 as I am not a fan of tennis.

The game I’m most looking forward to is Perfect Dark.  Why?  It was my favorite game on the N64.  Perfect Dark was N64’s Halo.

Game I am looking least forward to: Elder Scrolls.  I’m just not big on rpgs.  It’s probably a great game though.

The game I’m looking forward to the most is Perfect Dark. I love DOA3 and so I’m sure I’ll love DOA4, but Perfect Dark has had a special place in my heart ever since the N64 days when my best friend and I would play deathmatch. Okay, I know the graphics haven’t been the most spectacular (aka, wall guy), but still, I’m holding out hope…

I’m definitely not looking forward to Tiger Woods - I’ve just never liked golf in any form.

Game I am most looking forward to is Oblivion. I loved Morrowind and Oblivion is going to be exponentially better.

The game I a least looking forward to is Tiger Woods 2006. Golf = Boring.

Most looking forward to: Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Morrowind stole my life, and even after having to restart several times (it was on my friend’s xbox.) Obvilion has me excited to an extreme level. For some reason I always liked Morrowind on the Xbox better than PC for some reason, so I will probably get it on the 360. Also, Morrowind tried to eat my computer. :O

Least looking forward to: Madden 2006. I have ESPN 2k5, and played Madden 05, and from what I’ve seen, all they’ve changed is the graphics. Most of the other games in this package have phantastic graphics, so I really have no reason to look forward to this game at all.

- “I just won an xbox 360! THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIIIIIIFE!”

Most anticipated is a toss up on if I want the fast paced action of an FPS or the freedom to explore in a RPG depending on mood. Right now thaat would be Elder Scrolls IV. I loved the open ended game of Elder Scrolls III immensly and I am hoping that IV will be as good.

Least favorite would be NHL 2k due to the fact that if I want sports I will play sports and not the video version of it. Though some of the more arcadey type sports games can be amusing when tossing friends around. smile

Honestly, there is not a single game in that bundle that I’m not looking forward to playing.  If there’s one that stands out above the others, it’d be Oblivion (though Kameo, Gun and, for some reason, Condemned are up there, too).  If I had to pick one I’m least interested in, it’d be NHL 2K6.  But I’d happily play it if the bundle were mine!

There is not a single game in this bundle that I wouldn’t be excited to play, so it’s hard to pick one I’m looking forward to the most and even harder to pick one I want to play the least.

If forced, I’d pick Oblivion, partly for the amazing looking graphic engine, but mostly because I’ve tried every Elder Scrolls game up to now, and this one seems like the one where all the pieces will finally come together.  It’s almost as though they’ve been wanting to make this game all along, but each time before, the technology was holding them back.

(Quick note that Kameo, GUN, and, for some reason, Condemned are also quite high on the want list, not to mention every single other game listed)

As for least interesting, I guess NHL2K6.  Sports games are my least favorite genre, and hockey games rarely dazzle me.  However, I would still play this game quite a bit if the bundle were mine (please)!

1 - The game I’m definitely looking forward to the most is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I’ve been a logtime fan of the Elder scrolls series and can only imagine what they will be able to do with the awesome power of the Xbox 360!

2 - I’d say I’m least looking forward to Ridge Racer 6.  That whole series is just too arcade like for me. I’m sick of drift racing and the title is jnust plain played out and tired =)

Thanks,

I am most looking forward to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion since I haven’t played Morrowind and have heard good things about the series.

I am least looking forward to Tiger Woods 2006, since I agree with George Carlin (whom I disagree with on many things) but indeed: “Golf is like watching flies #$%&.”

The game I am most looking forward to in the bundle is Kameo.

The game i’m least looking forward to in the bundle is Madden NFL 2006.

I know Kameo has gotten some bad press and undergone so many revisions, but I’m hoping Rare pulls out all the big guns and gets back to its roots with something delightfully fun. I had a blast with Banjo and Kazooie and their other platformers. Here’s to hoping they execute something great.

Madden I just can’t get excited about because it’s the same rehash over and over with their franchise. Until I see something earth shattering that makes me “need” to get it, I’ll be staying away. Plus their exclusive signing with the NFL brand kind of irritated me. Way to nix the competition, especially since that fosters better games. Lame!

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Hmm…that is a tough one.  I haven’t played any of the Elder Scrolls games, but I’ve read great things about them and ES IV looks amazing!  Lush forests and foliage and great texture detail.  I’m also a fan of the Ridge Racer arcade style racing, but I’d say Call of Duty 2 is the game that I’m looking forward to the most.  Call of Duty 1 had some great adrenaline pumping sequences with the right amount of realistic details.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Probably NHL, since I’m not a big NHL fan.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Project Gotham Racing 3, I spent a lot of time playing its prequel on XBOX Live, probably more than any other game.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

I’d have to say Top Spin 2…tennis as a videogame just dosn’t sound very interesting to me…

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle?

Definitley Call of Duty 2.  I really liked the first game, like fps and like WWII-themed games.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle?

Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland.  Not a big fan of skateboarding or skateboarding in a wasteland.

1) Which game are you looking forward to the most in this bundle? Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Why Im excited? Because Bethesda does quality work in theyre games that goes beyond graphics into actual game depth and dont make cookie cutter games. I also loved all the Elder Scrolls since I first played Dagger Fall.

2) Which game are you looking forward to the least in this bundle? Top Spin 2

Why Im not excited? I like to play sports but not play the sports games, least of all play tennis games (Viruta Tennis for Dreamcast aside).

The game I most look forward to from this bundle is NBA 2k6.

The game I least look forward to from this bundle is Tiger Woods 2k6.

The game I’m most looking forward to in the bundle would definetely be Elder Scrolls IV:  Oblivion.  The game looks fantastic, still open ended, but with more direction for the player than Elder Scrolls 3.  Hoping they speed up the walk speed over the old game.

The game I’m least looking forward to is Tony Hawk American Wasteland.  The series really peaked for me on Tony Hawk 2.  The last two games in the series have environments that are too open and don’t focus enough on actual skateboarding.  I’m afraid American Wasteland will continue to take the series further in this direction.

Great contest by the way.

Look forward to Quake 4 the most.  Can’t wait to see how they will improve after Doom 3.  Donesn’t like Tiger Woods 2006 because I am not a big Golf fan.

OMG I can’t wait to get my hands on Perfect Dark. I’m sure many of you remember one of the greatest FPS games ever, 007 Goldeneye for N64. I think I played that game for about 2 years straight (and many sleepless nights) without getting sick of it. Perfect Dark for N64 was very similar to Goldeneye, in terms of controls and weapons (PROXIMITY MINES..OH YES!!). I wooped so many of my friends in that game, just because of my previous experience with 007. I guarantee it will be one of the top games for Xbox 360.

I’m not really looking forward to Quake 4. Now I know that Xbox 360 will be up to par with (if not better than) many of the PCs that people have out there. I love FPS games in general, but I think Quake is one of those games that should be left on the PC where it originated. Just like Doom, CounterStrike and UT have been HUGE successes on the PC but not so huge on the consoles. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess.

1) Project Gotham Racing 3
Reason: It’s the follow up to one of the greatest racing titles ever; and of coure the graphics.

2) NHL 2k6
Reason: Hockey is one of the least American sports, and they just had a holdout that cost them a season and most of their casual fans.
