Gear Live Giveaway: RoboSapien Humanoid Robot
Each week, Gear Live gives away awesome tech prizes courtesy of PrizeCube. The winner of last week’s contest was B. Canton, who walked away with a Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse.
The RoboSapien is the hottest toy on the market right now. So much so, even adults are getting down with it. It was hard to get your hands on one during the holiday season, but we have one ready to ship to one lucky Gear Live reader. So, what do you need to do to get it? Well, we want to know what you thought the best and worst items were at CES. What struck your fancy, and what made you turn your head in disgust? Holla back in the comments, and we will choose a random winner. Oh, and be sure that you reside in the USA.

The best item there would have to be the PlayStation Portable (PsP). The gadgets they had weren’t as good as the last years in my view. Anyways PsP displayed a lot of demos and hey it’s the PSP!! I think in March if it’s a low price the it will blow the DS out of the water ,but thats another rant for another day.
Also the worst item I saw was some cell phone pen thing ... it was on G4TechTv (The Screensavers) ... where the guy was showing of a pen cellphone .... this will never! work ..... ,cmon why is everyone trying to make the cell phone look like things ... first Ngage and it’s taco now a pen looking phone cmon
———————————————
Very cool prize , I won’t win because well I don’t win anything .... getting the cool Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta was cool enough *to bad its only a trial* lol

Of course the PSP has already been mentioned even though there is only one post so far heh. But that is my easy and obvious choice for love.
Trying to stick to stories mentioned only here one GL (although I don’t know know if it matters or not), but I am really hyped about Nyko and all the stuff they are doing. Most specificly the “movieplayer” those all the accessories sound awesome.
The thing that turned me off most were the Fossil PDA watches. Although cool concept they just come off as cheesy. Can’t say I wouldn’t take one (from a freebie site maybe? lol) though. I do remember back in school YEARS ago, when they came out with watches that had pac man on them lol. Those were the coolest things anywhere…at the time lol. But if I am going to pay that kind of cash to get a PDA I personally would just go for something a little more, usable.

BEST: Sony’s Handheld Venture, The PSP is sweet
WORST: Microsoft Media Center & the Xbox Demo. Things were not working & “THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH” appeared…..Typical Microsoft.

The best of course was the sony PSP. I also liked the 120 in. flat screen with dvd writer in it. I didnt really like the camera that had no buttons I foreget the name

The Best was the Sony Ericsson x710, love how it is a high digital camera and you can send videos and has bluetooth. But i also have to say the PSP is another best.
The Worst is the Fossil PDA Watch, Its so big and the design is horrible. I also have to say that the Windows Media Center was also a disappointment since it crashed at CES.

Best: Pioneer AVIC-N2. Has anything you could want. The real time traffic data paired with the navagation system totally rocks. I want one!
Worst: Uniden’s 5.8 Ghz ELT560. This just seems lame to me - trying to take a home phone and make it look and act more like a cell phone. What’s the point?

Best: Sony PSP ... But that’s not really a new announcement. Still the best though.
Worst: Archos’ Pocket Media Assistant PMA 430. Nice concept but looks too bulky and way overpriced.

Let’s be serious here, the PSP was no tthe best of show.
Yamaha’s single speaker surround sound system was simply awesome. I am gonna say that was the best.
The worst? Well, the biggest blunder has to the the Media Center PC crashing.

The best things at CES? 5 stars to the 102’’ TV! How AWSOME is that thing? Could you imagine watching any sports game on that thing? WWWWOOOOWWWW!!!! 2 thumbs up also to the motorola phone capable of playing itunes music! FINALLY, you can play your itunes music on something other than an ipod! The PSP was cool too, and will deffinately out sell the DS in its first day on the market in the US.

I forgot to post the worst thing at CES in my other post. It would have to be the waterproof mp3 player by oregon scientific. I guess it’s a good idea if you wanted to surf or swim or something, but I’m still not sure I want to hop in the pool with rechargable batteries at my side. Afterall, electronics are electronics, and yeah, they malfunction, fail and just go crazy at times.
