Former EB Games Worker Is Pissed
I just love when folks dish the dirt on their former employers. I mean, we all know that places like Circuit City, Best Buy, and Gamestop are all headed by huge corporate overlords who really could care less about consumer experience. It’s all about the almighty buck. The “Mad Gamer” offers us a peek behind the curtain of EB Games, and it’s a pretty funny diatribe.

The author of this arctive is absolutly telling the truth. I also worked for EB for a year or so and wound up quitting when I was told to lie to a customer who had a broken system and refused. I was forced to take in broken systems and also every game that came across the counter, scratched to hell or not. I got “secret shopped”, by the regional manager for the southwest, Mike something or another. It went like this. A rival football game to Madden was our “Vendor of the Month”, meaning we were supposed to cram it down customers throats or we’d get written up. Someone called and asked when Madden came out. I told him. He asked if I play Madden, to which I said yes (because I do and I don’t generally lie to people for no reason). The caller thanked me and I went about my business. Two days later i find out it was the regional manager and my recent 5 cent per hour raise was being taken away becuase I failed to lie and say I hate Madden and try and sell the VOM. I hope everyone at EB corporate gets brain cancer…
I also know people who work at EBGames and they are forced to shovel BS down peoples throats about everything. I’ve even personally listened to the workers do this to unknowing parents when I was waiting in line. The only reason I still buy from EB is because they offer the warranties on controllers/games/headsets which makes it so you can return the item in any condition for a new one(probably depending on the store.. my EB doesnt care if controllers are in 4 pieces). If I don’t like a brand new game, I return it and pay the $4 or whatever for a brand new one & return it to walmart for store credit. Overall the new games and new accessories are the same as every store.. but don’t trust them over anything used or their opinions.
LMAO!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
“Little Tommy wakes up on X-mas morning and plays with his PissBOX, PeeS2, or Toiletcube and everything is just great in the world. “
at least its not shat over.
I personally have stopped buying games from brick and mortar stores and have focused on ebay and other oem online stores. I just dont like store people in general.
