Dubai Emerates Palace Tech Hotel

Dubai Emeriates PalaceThis is the kind of place I would image just about every Gear Live reader would love to spend an extended vacation. It’s the Emerates Palace, where some staff get around on Segway units, and their private beach is Internet ready - and check out the amenity list:

 • The most advanced hotel multimedia system, including touch screen control panel, will allow guests full control of all room appliances such as lights, air-conditioning and in-room entertainment
 • Interactive TV provides high speed Internet, games, access to room bill, shopping, room service, telephone directory, videos on request, instant rewind and pausing of programs
 • 50-inch plasma screens in all rooms
 • 50 and 61-inch plasma screens in the suites
 • All suites equipped with a laptop and a scanner/printer/fax unit
 • Language preferences are set at reception upon check in which can be easily operated as soon as the guest reaches the room

The cheapest room is 2,000.00 AED, which comes out to about $545 USD per night. Spendy!

Emirates*

Looks very Cribs-worthy, though!

The United Arab Emirates is one of the wealthiest countries I know of. I doubt I will visit it anytime in my life. Where there is extreme wealth, there is high crime. I also hear that they dont collect tax, probably cus its included in what you buy there.

yeah thats just great…a touchscreen to set your AC instead of a knob ; now thats what technology’s about!
useless features for bored CEOs

Let us simply remember that the emirate’s government still cuts hands to thieves, judges according to the Koran instead of civil right laws and worst of all considers execution of women because of adultery absolutely lovely doopidy justy!

To give them money is to justify their intolerant lifestyle

hi , great post !

Great hotel!! I wish I would have chance to travel to Dubai or Abu Dhabi once in life. Actually I’m planning to go there this year but after check all the expenses, might need to wait for another year. Especially the prices of hotels in Dubai, very spendy :(!!

This hotel is one of the best luxury hotels in the world for sure!!

Damn straight. Like Bill Gates crib. If you haven’t seen it, check out the virtual tour on youtube.com…its crazy.

It’s great but you have to see The Yas Hotel (now Viceroy) in Yas Island (Abu Dhabi). Fantastic!
