Bowden + Sheffield Minimalist iPad cases are beautifully functional

Bowden + Sheffield iPad Cases

We know that it's hard to find variety when looking for a great iPad case. Our main problem with the cases is that we want something that adds a level of form and function while also offering protection, but we don't want something that hard to take the iPad out of, because we don't want to use an iPad that's stuck in a bulky case. Up until now, there's been no way for us to have our cake and eat it too, but that's set to change with the success of the Bowden + Sheffield Minimalist iPad Cases Kickstarter project. While the project wraps up in 16 more hours as of this writing, it's surpassed its $20,000 goal. What makes this case so good? Well, for starters, both cases look fantastic. The case designs are similar, with the difference lying in the materials.

The Bowden sports anodized aluminum with hand-finished walnut or cherry wood and black or brown full-grain leather. The Sheffield on the other hand is made from milled polycarbonate, the same wood, and natural wool felt. Even cooler? The body of The Sheffield doubles as a dry erase board that you can sketch or take notes on. The leather and felt covers of the cases can also be used as a stand, and the iPad is easily removed from the cases as well! Seriously--this is some good stuff, and we can't wait to get our hands on 'em.

Feel the same way? Then you'll wanna head on over to the Kickstarter page and back the project. Now that it's a sure thing, you're basically just buying a cases as a discount. Both the Sheffield and Bowden cases will retail for $190, but you can get them for $100 and $120 respectively if you pre-order one before the Kickstarter campaign ends.
