Blockbuster Allows Mailers to Drop Flix With Total Access
In an attempt to keep up with Netflix, Blockbuster has announced that it will now allow online rental users to return their movies in-store. Not only that, you can get a free in-store rental if you do so. Blockbuster offers differing Total Access plans that include $9.99 a month service plus a bonus movie coupon if you order one at a time, up to the $17.99 Total Access plan that allows you to order 3 simultaneously. Sign up now and you get a free trial membership for two weeks.
While Netflix has about 5.7 million subscribers, Blockbuster, who doesn’t like to come in second, had only about 1.5 million by the end of September. Granted they are making leaps and bounds in the attempt, but we’re going to wait until they offer a free pizza to go with our movie.

Boo! Hiss! Get bent, Blockbuster. Netflix will never succumb to your feeble attempts at online success. I heart you, Netflix.

lol, just another way to bring late fees back into the equation.
If blockbuster would add in the option to choose games as well as movies they would catch up quick. At least in my silly opinion.

We’ve been using BB Online for two summers (we cancel when the new TV schedule starts) now. I’m not sure when being able to return the DVDs to the store was introduced, but we’ve been doing that all summer. The only new announcement is that now you can use the Online DVD as a coupon for a free rental at the store. Also, the weekly free rental coupons they would e-mail to you are being changed to once a month.

I’m so excited about total access! I tried Blockbuster online in the past, but this time I’m sold. I’m pretty sure I can get almost double the amount of movies in the same amount of time as I did the last time I had it. Plus I can get the new releases in the store when I exchange my online rentals… The new free trial that they are offering is only for two weeks, but the employee at the store I go to gave me a coupon last week for a free month. I tried it out today and the FREE MONTH still works! Just go to
www.blockbuster.com/trial and enter the promo code 55740
