I don’t really understand these ‘protectors.’  If you drop your DS, these things may help to avoid a few scuffs, but they won’t much help with serious damage.  Get a nice case, people.  It will protect from scratches and other major harm, and possibly hold a few games as well.  If you desperately want to continuously display your DS, just play more often.  I am, however, a huge fan of screen protectors.

InvisibleSHIELDS are the best shields for anything, especially an iPod.

You applied the top cover incorrectly. You have it upside down. The side that is scrunching up on your DS is meant to be on the opposite side and fold over the DS.
