Watch this: Apple CEO Tim Cook’s 90-minute D11 interview

Tim Cook D11 interview

Yesterday evening, Apple CEO Tim Cook took the state at the 11th annual D: All Things Digital conference, and spoke about many topics relating to Apple. During the D11 interview, Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher hit Cook with tough questions, most of which were answered with just enough information so as not to give away specific future plans. Talking points include wearable computing, changes coming to iOS, Apple stock price, taxes, and more. We've got the full 90-minute interview video for you after the break--check it out.

Talking about iOS 7 and how big a deal it will be, Cook said:

"I'll let you be the judge of that, and yes, Jony Ive has been really key"

In regards to Google Glass, Cook doesn't seem to think that it will make it as a mass market item:

"It’s probably not likely to be a mass market item... It’s probably more likely to appeal to certain markets”

When talking about the botched launch of Apple Maps, Cook said:

“We screwed up,” Cook said. It’s greatly improved, but not there yet. We have more to do."

Cook also talked a bit about the possibility of Apple building apps for release on competing mobile platforms like Android:

“We have no religious issue with doing that. If we thought it made sense to do that we would do it.”

Finally, Mossberg asked Cook about the differences between iOS and Android as it pertains to third-party customizations, using the example that Android allows third-party apps to take over the keyboard (like SwiftKey) and lock screen (like Facebook Home) while iOS locks those down. It looks like change may be coming:

"I think you will see us open up more in the future. But not to the degree that we put the customer at risk of having a bad experience.”
