An iPod shuffle With A Screen
While it is just a mock-up, we can certainly dream - can’t we? I tell you, most of the time Apple fans can come up with better designs than the actual company does. Of course, who knows how long the battery would last if there was a screen on the unit. Nonetheless, check out the rant from Chris at YukonMac as well. Does the shuffle really need a screen, or does the straight shuffling add to its allure?

lol at first i thought they were goin to release a new shuffle >.< I dont really need the screen. Hell i dont even use the screen on my ipod. Just shove it in my pocket and use my remote to skip the song if i dont feel like listending to it

I think the screen would have pretty much created a new generation of flash ipods which would be lighter and smaller. I think that would throw the iPod out the window as soon as flash storage hits a big number in storage. Maybe Apple doesn’t want its dear iPod dying any time soon. Think about it, income is much lower from the Shuffle than from the iPod.
