I imagine a user scenario where I meet an old friend at the pub and instead of having to ask for that 9+ digit string of numbers I can just touch his phone to mine and automatically have all his contact info.

Im curious about the security side. They said in the video that its more secure but didnt mentioned any details. I was wondering, if connecting to a device is just a matter of 1-2 seconds and short distance than how secure it is? I go shopping and i mute the phone, anybody can connect to my phone, download personal informations and i wouldnt even notice it…
Does secuity mean that i have to turn off bluetooth to be safe? Than this easy NFC doesnt make any sense, i have to turn on bluetooth first and if there is no direct bluetooth button or something that it means going to the menu, settings, connections…takes the same time as the pairing that we have now…
