DescriptionUbisoft has announced today that Prince of Persia 3 is currently in development.  The story of this release takes place after the Warrior Within, as the Prince returns home to find that his people are against him.  It turns out that a being known as The Dark Prince has come into the story and will conflict with the real Prince.

“Prince of Persia 3 promises to be THE best installment in the legendary franchise,” said John Parkes, Director Marketing at Ubisoft. “By combining two playable characters in a masterly balanced gameplay, with the perfect mix of acrobatic moves and a compelling storyline, the Prince of Persia will appeal to both Sands of Time and Warrior Within fans alike. The Prince is back to reclaim his kingdom, and he has a few surprises in store…”

Prince of Persia 3 is slated to be released in the second half of 2005 on Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, and PC.

Sims 2 consoleTo absolutely no surprise whatsoever, EA announced that they will be releasing the Sims 2 on all the home consoles and the DS and PSP. What’s the difference? EA continues to lure its fans to buy every version some way or another by tweaking small details.  PC gamers led their Sims around clicking on objects, or other Sims, and choosing an action. Console gamers will be the first to experience direct control of their character.  The portable versions will include storylines alongside the playable characters.

Doom 3 Xbox

Doom 3 has recently come out on Xbox after being on the PC for quite some time, and you might have thought that ID Software would show the same trailers to promote the Xbox version that they used for the PC edition. Not so. Instead, ID Software took a unique approach to their advertising of Doom 3 for the Xbox. ID combined a real life scene leading in to game footage.  Some of the first words you hear in this 30 second TV Spot are, “You’re going to die.”  This is a very interesting approach to attract customers, but it’s working. ID teamed up with a company called Anonymous Content to help them put this creative ad together. You can check it out here.
