U2U2 won't release a new album until next year.

Although the band have performed live - appearing at The Oscars, The Golden Globes and on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon - and debuted two new tracks, "Ordinary Love" and "Invisible," they are still trying to perfect songs for their new album.

"It seems to be taking longer for them to finish an album as they get older, but the great thing about U2 is that the whole of a record is always better than the sum of its parts. That magic that the band always seems to capture ... they have yet to capture it, a source told Billboard.

The album is being helmed by executive producer Danger Mouse and U2 - Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen - have scheduled further sessions with producers Ryan Tedder and Paul Epworth to complete the as-yet-untitled record.

Kurt CobainKurt Cobain's former roommate is selling his belongings on the internet.

Items belonging to the Nirvana frontman, who committed suicide and was found dead in his home in Seattle, Washington in 1994, are being sold on Craiglist by a man claiming to have lived with the star in Capitol Hill in Washington.

Kurt's belongings include skis, a phone and video game, range between $25 and $80, which the old roommate had kept hold of for a number of years. "I have been holding on to a bunch of stuff that he left in a box when he moved out. He owed us rent and said he would get the box when he came back and gave us the money but he never came back, then when he was famous he never really talked to any of us again because Courtney [Love] never liked us," he wrote.

But the roommate, who was a bass player in Seattle rock band Gruntruck, insists he's not a fan of the Hole singer, so there are "no hard feelings" and he plans to sell more of Kurt's belongings. "I also have a lot more stuff of kurts, like magazine and clothes that i will be selling off soon. thank you for looking [sic]," he added.

Lily Allen and her husband, Sam CooperLily Allen's husband is embarrassed that she wrote her new single about him.

The 28-year-old singer recently released her new track "L8 CMMR," which features lyrics such as "My lover/Shoots and scores like he's Maradonna/Undercover, under the covers/ My man is a bad mother*****," which refers to her love life with husband Sam Cooper but she claims he wasn't too happy when he heard it.

"Sam was completely embarrassed," she said.

The outspoken star has also admitted that she's no longer interested in engaging in feuds with other pop stars and says she want to focus on exploring different issues through her music: "I'm still curious and still want to dig deeper about things. I have a lot of questions to be answered. I don't really care about bitching about Katy Perry. To me that was never my edge. That was just sensationalist s***."

Miley Cyrus and a little person on her tourMiley Cyrus has defended her use of little people as backing dancers.

The "We Can't Stop" star is accompanied by short people on stage for her current Bangerz Tour, but insists they are employed to have fun rather than just because of their height.

Talking to MSNBC's Ronan Farrow, she said, "We're making them feel sexual and beautiful." Speaking more specifically about one of the dancers, she added, "We're all about lifting her up and making her feel so sexy all the time, and having her dance - she's actually an awesome dancer. They're just like dancing, doing these cute moves and they're awesome dancers just on their own. It's not me telling them how to be. It's really funny how serious people take it. And [people are] like, 'You're racist.' And I'm like, 'Really?' We're like a bunch of kids dancing around in, like, bear [suits], we don't do choreography."

Kanye WestKanye West has announced a movie based on his Yeezus world tour.

The 36-year-old rapper has teased the concert film, which will be directed by frequent collaborator Hype Williams, with a 30-second teaser trailer on his official website.

The trailer intersperses footage from his ongoing world tour, as well as clips from his recent "Bound 2" music video which featured his fiancee Kim Kardashian. "Yeezus film directed by Hype Williams coming to theatres," the website states.

Music video director Hype Williams has previously been entrusted to helm the elaborate visuals for Kanye's hit songs "All of the Lights," "Stronger" and  "Gold Digger."

The "New Slaves" star has recently been linked to a biographical film based on his Yeezus album and it's rumored that Kim, 33, may have a starring role.

MorrisseyMorrissey claims he doesn't know anybody who wants The Smiths to reunite.

The former frontman, whose band split in 1987, also insists there aren't any bands he would like to see reform because he wants to remember how they were in their heyday:

"I don't know a single person who wants a Smiths reunion! There aren't any bands I [would] like to see again because your memory of them is how they were in their prime or at their best or at their most desperate, and you look to them to be someone that they no longer are."

The "First of the Gang to Die" singer also insists he was never influenced by The Beatles when he formed The Smiths with guitarist Johnny Marr, bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce in 1982. When asked about the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's first trip to America, he revealed, "I thought four of their songs were magnificient, and if a band can give you four magnificent songs then that's good enough for me. But was I ever influenced by The Beatles? No."

Melanie ChisholmMelanie Chisholm has hinted the Spice Girls could reform in 2016.

The singer, formerly known as Sporty Spice, has revealed the girl power group could get back together for a brief reunion tour to mark the 20-year anniversary of the release of their iconic debut single "Wannabe."

"It's funny isn't it because people are saying it's the 20 year anniversary of the Spice Girls, and we did get together in '94, but 'Wannabe' wasn't released until '96 so we don't really see it until '96. And you might see a few of us having a little dance about on stage, no plans, but we'll see what we can do for you," she said.

However, Melanie and her pals Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Geri Halliwell might have trouble convincing their former bandmate Victoria Beckham to join them, since she has put her music career firmly behind her and insisted last year the girls' performance at the London 2012 Olympics performance would be their last.

Pharrell's 'G I R L'Pharrell Williams has defended the cover of his new album G I R L after it sparked racial controversy.

The "Happy" hitmaker received criticism for the artwork, which features him stood next to three women, because critics assumed they were all white and thought he should have included a black woman on the cover.

"What really disappointed me is that, man, [the critics] jumped the gun 'cause the woman I'm standing closest to is black and she's a black girl from Wisconsin I used to date over 10, 12 years ago. That must suck for people to just look at something and assume they know what's going on..." he said.

The 40-year-old singer, who is now married to Helen Lasichanh, also praised black women, in particular 12 Years a Slave star Lupita Nyong'o: "I told her two weeks ago at the Oscars luncheon her skin was flawless, I love her skin, my god."

Lady GagaLady Gaga has been refused a permit to perform in a giant vending machine.

The "Do What You Want" hitmaker was hoping to entertain fans at the annual South by Southwest festival (SXSW) held in Austin, Texas between March 7 - 16 on the Doritos Stage, which has been designed to look like a huge snack machine, but due to concerns over health and safety she's had to reconsider.

"Our conclusion was based primarily on public safety concerns ... We look at the size and capacity of the location covered by the permit being sought and how it fits with the anticipated attendance, based on event capacity and promotion. At the end of the day, it's a parking lot," said Don Pitts of Austin's Music And Entertainment division.

Gaga - real name Stefani Germanotta - is still set to play at the nine-day festival but has been urged to find a location with "the necessary permanent infrastructure" to support her performance.
