David Guetta Planning ‘Big’ Usher Song

Usher and David GuettaDavid Guetta is working on a "really big" song with Usher.

The French DJ - who is renowned for his collaborations with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson and Flo Rida - has confirmed the pair are already planning to work together again after their success with "Without You."

"These are really big records we are working on right now. It's really crazy," he told The Hollywood Reporter. Although he would not give any more details, he added the song was "something really, really, really crazy."

Discussing the future direction of his work, David revealed it was likely he would do something with a bit more of an "underground" sound to it: "Lately I've been focusing more on making straight club beats, a little more underground. I'm gonna start meeting artists because me being in Los Angeles, there's a lot of talent here. There's always something happening. Every time I come to Los Angeles it's so tempting. You go into a studio and it's like, 'Oh, you're here?' and you meet so many people."

Snoop Dogg is Making a Reggae Album

Snoop DoggSnoop Dogg is making a reggae album. The "Drop it Like it's Hot" rapper has been working with producer Diplo - who has previously produced tracks for Beyonce, M.I.A and Usher - and exploring a new musical direction.

"Snoop Dogg is an icon, man; he's bigger than the music. What we're doing is a reggae record. It's all reggae and he's singing and he's doing a f***ing awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song," Diplo told MTV.

Diplo added he and Snoop have started on 18 tracks together, and he's excited to get back to recording in April: "We're going to get back into the production of it next month, and I'm really proud of that record. It's the first record I've ever executive-produced and his crew is amazing."

The producer also admitted he was initially nervous when he teamed up with R&B star Usher, for his track "Climax." "We just had great chemistry. I was super-nervous working with him the first two days. I love Usher. I'm an Usher fan. We did some up tempo stuff too. I don't know what'll make the album, but I think there are definitely three songs that'll make it."

Usher Wants Adele Duet

Usher and Adele

Usher believes the world "deserves" a duet between him and Adele.

The "Yeah" singer thinks he should collaborate with "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker Adele, after she has had such a great year since releasing her second album 21: "I think the world deserves an Usher and Adele record. That's what I think."

Usher also joked that he didn't want people in the US to keep buying 21, so it doesn't beat his record of 7.9 million sales of an album in one year, set with Confessions in 2004:

VIDEO: Black Eyed Peas Perform at Super Bowl Hafltime

The Black Eyed Peas put on a highly-produced halftime show for Super Bowl XVL watchers, though they didn’t do it alone. Quick guest appeareances from Slash and Usher help put the show over the top.

The Peas performed a variety of melodies, including their hit "Boom Boom Pow" and "The Time (Dirty Bit)."

Some (meaning, Perez Hilton) are calling it the “best Super Bowl half time show in years,” but others have an opposing opinion. Yahoo’s review found the Peas to be a little nervous an uncomfortable. Their verdict? Usher should have headlined the entire show.

Form your own opinion, and watch the whole thing in the video above.

VIDEO: Usher Gets Kicked in Face, Laughs About It

One Usher fan had a moment with the singer this week that neither she nor he will ever forget.

Monday night at Madison Square Garden, the entertainer invited a concertgoer on to the stage during his show. Unfortunately, what should have been a romantic serenade turned into a painful memory for both parties. (Cue the tape to the 2:50 mark to see the awkward moment.)

Despite being kicked in the face, Usher says he has "no hard feelings" about the event. "In all my years, this is one of the most interesting experiences. I got a kick out of it!" he claimed to Us Weekly. "It looked worse than it actually was. My audience and I got a good laugh."

"Wherever you are baby, don't feel bad," he added.

To help celebrate the classic “We Are the World” recording, and Lionel Richie will be uniting artists once again to sing for a good cause. Artists in the Los Angeles area for the Jan. 31 Grammys will be asked to participate in this musical event taking place on February 1.

When the original song - co-written by Richie and - was first released, proceeds generated by the single went toward the relief effort in Africa. Although a 25th anniversary-celebration had already been in the works prior to the earthquake in Haiti, the devastation in that country changed the scope of the plans.

It’s not yet known who will be involved in the new session, though artists including Usher, Natalie Cole, and John Legend have already been given invites.

“We Are the World” was recorded on January 28, 1985.

Usher’s Girlfriend Takes Charge of His Album

Usher‘s new girlfriend may be causing trouble at his record label.

The “Yeah!” singer is reportedly involved in a relationship with Grace Miguel - who until recently worked for Def Jam Records, a rival to Usher’s Jive label.

“Some people see it as a conflict of interest. She’s still under contract with Def Jam, but Grace seems to be calling the shots behind the scenes on Usher’s album,” an insider told the New York Daily News newspaper.

It has been claimed the situation has “complicated” the making of the LP and is upsetting record company executives - who recently pushed Raymond v. Raymond back from its original December 21 release date.
