Emotional Boyzone Unsure About Tour

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Gossip, Pop,

Description may be too distraught over Stephen Gately’s death to tour.

The group confirmed earlier this week they are planning to use vocals recorded by Stephen before his sudden and unexpected death last month on their new album, but frontman Ronan Keating said their grief may prevent them from taking the new material on tour.

“We’ve got his vocals for several tracks, thank God. But as for going on the road, we may tour, we may not. I keep remembering things and I get emotional,” Ronan said. The singer also revealed he thinks the band’s next single - which will feature Stephen’s voice and was written by British pop star - will have a huge impact.

Georgi Dochev had returned to the holiday apartment shared by the Boyzone star and his partner Andy Cowles after meeting the couple in a gay club in Majorca last Friday. The 33-year-old singer was later spotted in a “crouched, prayer position” the next morning.

“I was the one who found him. I am devastated. I came from the bedroom and found him dead and I woke his partner. He was white and very cold,” Dochev said. “I was the one who called the ambulance because Andy was too upset. He was holding Stephen. It’s awful, I am in shock and I cannot sleep for days. It is really upsetting. I have only known him for a while. I have talked to the police but I cannot speak of other things. I just wish I could have saved him.”

Les Paul

You may not recognize his face, but if you’re into music you’ve certainly heard his name. Les Paul was considered by many in the music industry to be a genius, something of a catalyst for modern guitar playing. If nothing else, you’ve heard of the almost-legendary guitar named for him, the Gibson Les Paul.

Paul helped create modern music as we know it today, and he continued to make sweet melodies until he was into his 90s. He died quietly this week in New York, aged 94.

“We owe many of his inventions that made the rock ‘n roll sound of today to him, and was the founding father of modern music,” said B.B. King on Paul’s death. “This is a huge loss to the music community and the world.”

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, Has Died

Michael Jackson DiesMichael Jackson is dead.

It is alleged the ‘Thriller’ singer passed away from cardiac arrest today, June 25th 2009. The news was first broken by TMZ, with CNN reporting he was in a coma. Emergency services in California confirm they rushed a 50-year-old man to hospital this afternoon, but strict privacy laws mean that they cannot confirm if it was the singer.

TMZ reported: “Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. When paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back. A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but they had no luck. We’re told one of the staff members at Jackson’s home called 911. LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.”

The singer’s family are believed to be at the UCLA hospital in the city, which has been cordoned off by police tape.

Michael - who has three children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 10 and seven-year-old Prince Michael II - was believed to have been suffering from skin cancer and was due to embark on a comeback 50-date residency at O2 Arena in London next month. The first dates of the tour were delayed amid concerns for his health.

Uri Geller - one of Michael’s closest friends - told Sky News: “Like the whole world I’m absolutely devastated and lost for words because everyone expected him to come to England. He was in good health - he was rehearsing and dancing. I’m shocked.”
