Black Eyed Peas to Return

Black Eyed PeasBlack Eyed Peas are set to return next year.

The “I Gotta Feeling” group - will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo - are getting back together for their first studio album and tour since The Beginning in 2010. “The Black Eyed Peas are all in agreement they should put a new tour on for the fans - it's not like they properly split when they parted for a hiatus in 2012. This time around they're going to head back into the studio and lay down a new album quickly and then hit the road once again. Will.i.am has been instrumental in persuading all the Peas to get back into shape and hit the road again,” a source said.

The source says new mother Fergie - who has five-month-old son Axl Jack with her husband Josh Duhamel - has been holding the process up. “Fergie's been stalling and wants to hold out for as much money as she can guarantee. She's got a baby now and needs it to be a very worthy amount to make her take her baby on the road,” the insider added.

Black Eyed Peas’ Lyrics Slammed

Black Eyed PeasBlack Eyed Peas song “My Humps” has been named as having the worst lyrics in dance music.

The group's 2005 single received more than twenty per cent of votes cast in a poll of clubbers by GlobalGathering festival. The song contains the repetitive line, “My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, My hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely little lumps.” The song reached number three in the UK singles chart when it was released but it seems the public don't look back on it fondly.

In second place clubbers voted “Nassaja” by German outfit Scooter, with its nonsensical line, “It's not a bird, it's not a plane. It must be Dave who's on the train.”

The top three was completed by the 90's dance-pop group Vengaboys with their song “Up and Down,” which simply repeats the words “up” and “down” over and over again.

VIDEO: Black Eyed Peas Perform at Super Bowl Hafltime

The Black Eyed Peas put on a highly-produced halftime show for Super Bowl XVL watchers, though they didn’t do it alone. Quick guest appeareances from Slash and Usher help put the show over the top.

The Peas performed a variety of melodies, including their hit “Boom Boom Pow” and “The Time (Dirty Bit).”

Some (meaning, Perez Hilton) are calling it the “best Super Bowl half time show in years,” but others have an opposing opinion. Yahoo’s review found the Peas to be a little nervous an uncomfortable. Their verdict? Usher should have headlined the entire show.

Form your own opinion, and watch the whole thing in the video above.
