Adam Levine and Matthew MorrisonMatthew Morrison wants a musical collaboration with Adam Levine.

The Glee singer-and-actor was snapped up by the Maroon 5 frontman for his new record label and the pair have discussed joining forces on a song, despite having different musical styles.

While Matthew's new album, Where It All Began, is more jazz and blues inspired, Adam is best known for making thumping pop-rock songs with his band. "We've certainly talked about [a collaboration]. Our styles and sounds are quite different but he loves my album so much and he's a big fan of that type of music. But you wouldn't think it because he's such a rock star," Matthew said.

Although he's used to being in front of the camera after playing glee club teacher Mr. Schuester for four years, Matthew insists filming his first music video was completely "different" to his usual work: "They are so different but I love both. With Glee, you learn lines, you show up and you're good to go. But with a music video, you get involved with everything and it's a lot more personal."

Adam Levine is Excited for Maroon 5’s ‘Rebirth’

Adam Levine performs with Maroon 5Adam Levine sees Maroon 5's new album as a "rebirth" of the group. The band are releasing fourth record, Overexposed, and frontman Adam wants it to show a different side to him and his bandmates.

"People often misinterpreted confidence or my playful cockiness with arrogance. I'm certainly an extremely humble person and my mother raised me right. I'm always polite, I'm always nice and never mean. And I'm excited, so excited to talk about the new record as I see it as a rebirth for Maroon 5," said the singer, who is joined by Michael Madden, PJ Morton, James Valentine and Matt Flynn in the band.

Adam also said he struggled when critics used to give him and the band - who went through a period where they didn't have a single hit between 2007's "Makes Me Wonder" and 2011's "Moves Like Jagger" - a tough time: "I put my heart and soul into our songs and love them, so when someone writes they don't like them or me, it hurt. But the ups and downs have been really important. And now I don't know why it's working, but it seems to be, so I keep doing it. Now it's OK to like us. For ages it was uncool to like Maroon 5."

Maroon 5Pop rockers Maroon 5 would love to collaborate with Adele.

The band members are huge fans of the "Someone Like You" hitmaker, and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael revealed that she is top of his list of musicians he wants to work with: "In terms of collaborations, I don't know. My personal favorite would be to work with Adele right now. She's amazing."

However, lead singer Adam Levine is worried the singer is too popular to have time for them and spoke of his wish to work with Mumford and Sons. "Get in line. Mumford and Sons album is my favorite album of the year. Last time I saw them they were rehearsing for a performance with Bob Dylan at the Grammys and they were freaking out. It was awesome to see them so excited."

Meanwhile, Jesse revealed the band were worried their number one single with Christina Aguilera -- "Moves Like Jagger" -- would flop, because Adam loves it and when the lead singer hates one of their songs, it is usually successful. "In the past we had this barometer, which was that if Adam hated a song, we knew it was going to be successful," Jesse said.

"We are excited to perform it for our fans on The Voice this Tuesday and on the road this summer. The guys and I recorded this track in Los Angeles last month and it was great getting to work with Christina on it as well."

Adam recently admitted the pair - who sit alongside Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton on the TV show's panel - row "like brother and sister" on the show: "They fabricate a lot of that - a lot of that's reality television fodder. She's fine, we bicker like brother and sister."
