Queen is expected to play gigs in America this summer with Adam Lambert.
Drummer Brian May has revealed the band - which also features Roger Taylor - are still working together and planning to perform with Adam Lambert replacing the late Freddie Mercury as frontman.
"We are ongoing, we can't help it, I think we all protested too much in the sense when Freddie went and we didn't want to talk about it and didn't want to be Queen for a while. But after a while you realize that people wanna hear the songs and see us do things. So, no matter what you call it, Roger and I do do stuff and I think we'll be doing some more stuff this summer in fact, probably in the States," Brian said.
When quizzed about who will stand in as a frontman for the band, the 66-year-old musician said, "We've been talking to Adam Lambert, you know we've already done some gigs with Adam, who is amazing."

Adam Lambert Wants a Queen Album

Adam Lambert wants to make an album with Queen.
The former American Idol contestant has been singing with the group live in place of the late Freddie Mercury this summer, and is keen to record new material with original members Brian May and Roger Taylor.
When asked by UK radio station Capital FM if he would make a record with the group, he said, "Yeah, I mean, I would love to work with them in any capacity in the future. I don't think I would turn any offer down. I mean, they're amazing! I don't know what it would be, but hey!"
Original Queen singer Freddie passed away in November 1991, and bass player John Deacon retired in 1997, but the band have continued, performing with singer Paul Rodgers between 2004 and 2009 and more recently Adam, after they played backing him in the final of American Idol in 2009.

Adam Lambert a ‘Great Interpreter’ of Freddie
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Collaborations, Concerts / Tours, Rock,
Queen says Adam Lambert will be a "great Interpreter" of Freddie Mercury's songs at Sonisphere.
The "We Will Rock You" group confirmed on Monday they will headline the rock festival in July, with former American Idol contestant Adam taking the place of late frontman Freddie - who passed away in 1991 - and guitarist Brian May is sure he can step up to the challenge.
"I think all the vibes will be good. And I'm, sure that if Freddie was around, or if he is around then he'll appreciate what we're doing, because its interpreting those songs and those songs should live. A lot of those songs are Freddie's and you've got a great interpreter there in Adam. It will be challenging - my God, it will be challenging, but you've got to set yourself big hurdles to get over really, that's what life is about," he told BANG Showbiz, speaking at Tuesday night's BRIT Awards.
Queen have previously performed with Adam on the final of American Idol in 2009, and again last year at the MTV European Music Awards, where they received the Global Icon trophy. This summer's show is bound to be poignant as Queen played their last ever show with Freddie in 1986 at the same ground in Knebworth as Sonisphere takes place.

VIDEO: Pink Sings Adam Lambert Song

Adam Lambert may have been the one who recorded “Whataya Want From Me,” but that doesn’t mean he’s the only person who can perform it.
Although Pink - the tune’s songwriter - claims Lambert can “sing it way better” than her, I’m not sure I actually agree.
After listening to her cover the track during her European tour, let us know what you think. Should Pink have just kept the song for herself?

Although he’s still establishing his post-American Idol career, Adam Lambert has been tapped as the show’s next mentor.
Season 8’s runner-up will appear on the FOX show next Tuesday, April 13 to offer a few words of advice for each contestant. While it’s not yet known which genre he’ll be contributing to, Lambert should be able to at least provide some hints as to what the judges are looking for.
“Even though I’m just at the start of my recording career, I hope to lend some insight as one who’s been thru the Idol adventure. excited!!” Adam wrote on Twitter.
A scandal-free performance of “Whattaya Want From Me” will then follow on the Wednesday results show. “Don’t worry America: I will be beyond family friendly. Relax and enjoy. For Your Entertainment,” Lambert tweeted.

At some point, all American Idol contestants are expected to return to the show that made them famous—and Adam Lambert is no exception.
Late last week, Season 8’s runner-up confirmed he will be appearing on the show sometime this season. His announcement came a day after both Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen performed during the first results show.
“Yes, I have been booked on Idol! Can’t reveal the date yet but it’s a ways off… So excited. Kris and Allison were awesome last night,” Adam wrote on Twitter.
Until then, Lambert also has a gig during Jay Leno’s first week back as Tonight Show host. You can see him on NBC this Tuesday, March 2.

VIDEO: Adam Lambert Calls Out Woman on Cell Phone

Adam Lambert might not want to be a “babysitter” when it comes to your kids, but he feels perfectly comfortable schooling people attending his shows.
During a recent appearance in New York, the singer interrupted his own performance because of a rude - and loud - cell phone user in the crowd. Here’s a clip of that awkward moment…for your entertainment.

Oprah’s parade of musical newsmakers isn’t over yet.
Last week, the talk show queen welcomed a visit from pop star Lady Gaga. Tomorrow, she’ll play host to two names quite familiar to the tabloids.
Adam Lambert, who caused a big stir after his controversial American Music Awards appearance, will address that kiss, talk about Simon Cowell’s American Idol departure and perform for the Chicago audience.

First Look: Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment Video
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Gossip, Music Videos, Pop,
Given Adam Lambert’s performance during Sunday’s American Music Awards, I must say I was a bit surprised by this new clip.
Although he had over three minutes to “interpret the lyrics” of his own song in his own video, this video for “For Your Entertainment” was surprisingly tame. Oh sure - you could
quicklyglimpse a few provocative moments here and there, but it they weren’t as obvious as this weekend’s simulated oral sex moment.
So now I’m left confused. Why would Lambert hold back here? Was Adam simply doing on live TV what he wasn’t allowed to do in the video?
