Daft Punk get lucky

In the few days since "Get Lucky" was released by Daft Punk, the track has gone on to hit #1 in the UK and France, and is right near #1 in the US as well. Even more interesting, "Get Lucky" now holds the record for the "biggest streaming day for a single track" on Spotify in the US and UK regions.

The upcoming Daft Punk album, Random Access Memories, is set to be released on May 21st. It'll be the first from the group in 8 years, with the exception of the 2007 live album and the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. Get a listen to "Get Lucky" below!

Beyonce- Although online music service Spotify won't divulge approximate numbers, the company claims that Daft Punk has set the new record with their song "Get Lucky" for the biggest streaming day for a single track - a title previously held by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop."

- Perhaps weirdly influenced by her new role as a mother, Beyonce shocked Serbian concert-goers by somewhat-flashing them with a glittery leotard complete with bare faux-boobs.

- Those attending the Americanarama Festival of Music ought to be extra-ecstatic for the concert this summer, as Bob Dylan just signed on to perform on the tour alongside My Morning Jacket and Wilco.

- Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has spoken out about Beyonce's initially unauthorized cover of "Back to Black," which is featured in the upcoming film The Great Gatsby.

Fleetwood MacFleetwood Mac will release a new EP later this week. The band will be putting out their first new material since their Say You Will album from 2003, including new track "Sad Angel."

The band - Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks - debuted both that song and another, "Without You," last Thursday at the opening of their 2013 tour in Ohio, US. Lindsey announced news of the new release to the crowd at another show in Philadelphia. "One of the things we thought would be a good idea before we hit the road would be to go into the studio and cut some new material. So last year we did that. It's the best stuff we've done in a long time and in a few days we're going to drop an EP of new stuff," he said.

Ex-band member, Christine McVie - who left the band and retired from music in 1998 - has also said she would like to perform with the band at one of their London dates if they will allow her: "If they wanted me to, I might pop back on stage when they're in London just to do a little duet or something like that."

Jon Bon Jovi and Richie SamboraRichie Sambora didn't quit Bon Jovi's Because We Can tour over money.

Singer Jon Bon Jovi insists the guitarist - who suddenly left the band ahead of a show in Calgary, Canada on April 2 - hasn't fallen out with him over finances, as suggested by some sources. "I think Richie's doing all right, I haven't spoken to him. We were surprised. It was 3:30pm on show day on Tuesday and we got a phone call that he wouldn't be there. It's a personal matter. Don't believe what you read on [website] TMZ because it's the furthest thing from the truth," a source said.

Richie - who has been replaced by Phil X for the remainder of the US leg of the tour - missed some of Bon Jovi's tour dates in 2011 after he checked into rehab for alcohol issues, but sources insist he is currently still sober.

Jon also discussed the band's What About Now album, saying his main inspiration was rock 'n' roll legends The Rolling Stones: "It's a wide array. I just downloaded [David] Bowie's record to listen to that. I just bought a Bruno Mars record before that. Influences? [Tom] Waits. [Leonard] Cohen. They're huge lyrical influences. For rock bands, I look to the Stones, who at least show me where the bar is so you know how far and how high I gotta jump."

30 Seconds to Mars have launched their new single from space.

The rockers - comprised of Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic - announced their fourth album, Love Lust + Faith Dreams, will be released on May 20, following the inter-galactic launch of their aptly-named first single, "Up In The Air," Monday night. The band teamed up with NASA to premiere their new track from space and a copy of the single was launched via a SpaceX cargo mission on March 1. It was given its first ever play by astronauts orbiting 230 miles above Earth on the International Space Station at midnight Greenwich Mean Time on Tuesday.

BeyonceBeyonce has released two new tracks, "Bow Down" and "I Been On." The 31-year-old singer unveiled an audio clip of her first new material since 2011's 4 album on her website yesterday. The track was accompanied by a photo of the singer as a child standing in a room full of trophies.

Lyrics include the lines, "I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world / Don't forget it / Respect that / Bow Down b****es." Elsewhere she sings, "I took my time to live my life but don't think I'm just his little wife / Don't get it twisted this is my sh*t."

The clip takes pieces from two different songs, "Bow Down," which has reportedly been produced by Hit-Boy and "I Been On" which is thought to have been made with Timbaland.

Beyonce's lyrics appear to refer to her absence from the music industry as she has become a mother to daughter Blue Ivy, now 14-months, and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, but her choice of words and apparent attitude have divided opinion. "I'm not sorry that @beyonce is a trend-setter and doesn't sound like everyone else. It's about changing the game #beyhive (sic)" one fan wrote on Twitter.

BeyonceBeyonce has extended the UK leg of her Mrs. Carter Show tour. The "Crazy in Love" hitmaker had been due to play eight English shows in April and May, but following popular demand when tickets went on pre-sale this morning, she has now added a further three gigs.

As well as the previously-announced dates, Beyonce will take to the stage at London's The O2 on 4 and 5 May, and the Manchester Arena on 9 May. This takes the total number of shows in London to six and Manchester to three, and she will also perform two gigs in Birmingham.

Tickets for all 11 UK concerts go on general sale on Saturday.

Beyonce announced the tour earlier this month, just hours after her performance at the Superbowl. The first show takes place in Belgrade, Serbia on April 15 and the European leg comes to an end in Stockholm, Sweden, on May 29. The star will then take a month's break before returning to the stage at Los Angeles' Staples Center on June 28.

Harry Styles and Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" is "100 per cent" about Harry Styles.

The singer had an on/off relationship with the One Direction hunk last year, with them initially splitting in April when he was spotted kissing a model in Australia. They then reconciled for two months at the end of the 2012, but split over New Year while holidaying in the British Virgin Islands. Now a friend has confirmed Taylor's single "I Knew You Were Trouble" - one of her famous break up songs about her exes - is about their romance.

"Taylor was crushed over Harry the first time they dated, and like she always does, she penned a song about him to deal with her broken heart. 'I Knew You Were Trouble' is one hundred percent about Harry. She knew he was young and popular with the ladies and wasn't ready for a serious relationship, but somehow hoped she could make it work," the source said.

Fun.Fun. originally wanted Rihanna to appear on 'We Are Young'.

The group's biggest hit - for which they won Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards last Sunday - features Janelle Monae, but they admit they initially thought Rihanna's vocals would work better on the track.

"They said, 'Who can we get? And I said, 'let's get Rihanna.' We were shooting for the stars on everything and she was kind of a muse. But everything works out for a reason and Janelle Monae worked out to be the perfect choice. She brought the right element of a great soulful flavour that we wanted for the album," producer Jeff Bhasker told MTV.

Although Fun. were an almost unknown act at that time, they were dreaming of pop stardom and reportedly had pictures of Rihanna on their studio wall. Jeff said the 'Diamonds' singer had heard the track, but never got around to recording vocals for it. "Someone tried to reach out and I know she heard the song and liked it. But I think some wires just got crossed," he added.
