Jamie Hince and Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan is making music with Kate Moss' husband.

The troubled actress is determined to get her life back on track following her stint in rehab in the summer, and has teamed up with Jamie Hince to work on a mystery project. The 27-year-old star posted a number of teasing photographs on her Instagram account, which saw her sitting at a mixing desk in a New York studio, as well as a signed copy of The Kills record, along with the hash tags "Jamie Hince" and "Studio time."

The blonde beauty, who released two albums when she was a Disney star, is keen to revive her music career and has been seeking advice from Jamie and Lily Allen's ex-boyfriend Robertson Furze in a bid to turn into a "rock chick." "Lindsay's really embarrassed by [her previous] music, it was really poppy and cheesy. She sees herself as far more credible now. Jamie is one of her idols - she loves The Kills and sees herself as a bit of a rock chick," a source said.

John Mayer and Katy PerryKaty Perry joined John Mayer on stage for a surprise appearance in Brooklyn.

The "Roar" hitmaker and her boyfriend sang their duet "Who You Love" from John's latest album Paradise Valley. They performed together on Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and even managed to sneak in a few kisses at the beginning of the song.

Hours before John, 36, and Katy, 29, sat down on Good Morning America for their first joint interview and premiered the music video for "Who You Love," which saw the couple kiss and embrace. John was initially hesitant to feature Katy on the track, saying, "My first thought was, 'You can't do that' and then the more I thought about just the music part of it, it made perfect sense. Even if I didn't know Katy, it would have made perfect sense.... For me it always had to be about the song ... It's a pretty big moving target to be a couple and have a song but I think there's an authenticity to it when you hear it."

Katy said about her duet with John, "It transcends us. It's more about the message of the song."

Proud of this song, proud of this artwork, proud of this girl," the "Half Of My Heart" musician tweeted, attaching the cover art for the track.

The black-and-white shot, taken by photographer Mario Sorrentil, shows John strumming a guitar while Katy's strikes a sultry pose and rests her hand on his shoulder. Miley Cyrus and Pharrell WilliamsPharrell Williams has defended Miley Cyrus' transformation.

The "Get Lucky" hitmaker, who worked with the former Disney star on her new album Bangerz, has praised the 21-year-old's music and new controversial look:

"It's tough to be that age, and to have to make all those decisions yourself. And it's the people you're surrounded by, too. I'm not worried about Miley. I've seen her soul in action. I know her voice, her voice is crazy. I keep saying it to everybody: You gotta remember, she's [21] years old and enjoying her life. She's enjoying her freedom."

Miley hit the headlines after her raunchy performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards but Pharrell thinks people should also focus on her talent. "When you see her, when you read her words and you listen to her musical choices, and you look at what she's wearing - I'm not talking about when she goes on stage, I'm talking about her everyday dressing - she shuts it the f**k down," the 40-year-old singer continued.

Lily Allen and Miley CyrusLily Allen wants to work with Miley Cyrus.

The 28-year-old star met Miley, 21, on a trip to Los Angeles after chatting with her on Twitter and is self-confessed fan.

Lily insists the satirical video for her comeback single "Hard Out Here" wasn't an attack against the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker, despite it showing her surrounded by twerking scantily-clad dancers. "I'd never met her before so I couldn't say we are really great friends but I do really like Miley. She's funny, witty and clever, I love what she does. I think her and Lorde's album have had the most plays in my car this year. I never went on record saying the video was a direct pop at her - it wasn't. She's probably way too busy for someone like me but yeah, I'd welcome the opportunity to work with her," Lily, 28, the Daily Mirror newspaper.
