, best-known as Puck on the hit musical series Glee, is briefly on hiatus from the show while he works on the release of his album Pipe Dreams.

The music video above is for his single “Illusions,” and (bummer spoiler alert!) he doesn't take his shirt off once.

Fans who expect Mark Salling to sound like Noah Puckerman will probably be disappointed. As a musician, Salling is distinctly different from his Mohawked Glee persona.

Soundgarden is releasing their first album in 13 years … through popular video game Guitar Hero. The bold move hasn’t been tried by any other band, but thinks it’s the perfect way to re-introduce their music.

“It’s going to reach a certain amount of younger people that either may or may not know about ,” he explained in a recent interview. “I feel like releasing it this way is going to reach a lot of people who have not heard our music or have not heard a lot of it.”

The album, Telephantasm, is filled with popular tracks from the band’s 90s-era heyday as well as some new tracks. It’s available on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Based on the number of games sold, the album has already been granted platinum status.

“I thought about doing this ever since I’ve heard about the game and what it is,” Cornell said. “I think the musical arrangements lend itself so well to what the video game is.”

Hadouken!

Hadouken, a special move belonging to Capcom’s influential game Street Fighter, can now also be associated to a band just as influential.

Hadouken! has been making waves with their grime, techno, new rave music in the UK and around the world. But putting this band in a genre is just criminal. Hadouken! will hit you in the face and finish you off with an uppercut with their high energy beats that will move the body of even the stiffest of men – even dead ones.

If you have not yet heard of Hadouken!, you soon will. EA (Electronic Arts) /Artwerk has picked up this band to enrich our EA gaming experiences with sounds that can only be called one thing – awesome.

If I haven’t interested you yet into checking this band out, you are just crazy.  I highly recommended giving this band a spin. For the Masses, Hadouken!’s album, can be found on iTunes, and can be downloaded here. YOU GO NOW!

Now that you’ve downloaded the album and loved it, it’s time to get up close and personal. I had the opportunity to chat with guitarist Dan Rice about the band, videogames, and all things music.

Fans attending a Swell Season concert Thursday night in Saratoga, CA left stunned by what they saw.

You can see the moment at around the :19 mark in the clip.

FOX’s hit series will pay homage to sadness next season.

After first denying the hit show permission to use songs from their collection, has now agreed to having their music featured on the show.

Let’s just hope the ultra-depressing songs from the Coldplay catalog don’t single-handedly increase the FOX viewership suicide rate.
