Usher Wants Adele Duet

Usher and Adele

Usher believes the world "deserves" a duet between him and Adele.

The "Yeah" singer thinks he should collaborate with "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker Adele, after she has had such a great year since releasing her second album 21: "I think the world deserves an Usher and Adele record. That's what I think."

Usher also joked that he didn't want people in the US to keep buying 21, so it doesn't beat his record of 7.9 million sales of an album in one year, set with Confessions in 2004:

"I have to confess that I have told a few people not to go and buy Adele's album because I don't want her to go and break my record. No, actually, I love her. Unfortunately, she's the closest to breaking my record for the last 10 years. So now, guys, don't go and buy that album right now."

Usher is also excited about the possibility of working with UK producer Labrinth after he met him while touring with Tinie Tempah. "Me and Tinie, we toured together here in London and it was my opportunity to get close to him and listen to all the music that I now admire which he did with Labrinth. I can only imagine what me and Labrinth will do with this US and UK connection."

Usher will release his comeback single, "Climax," in April.
